    Great video!! Although, I will say when you slightly rev up the jump vehicle you will get more amps. Amos is what you need to charge the battery faster.

    • @BluTechEquipment
      @BluTechEquipment 2 года назад +2

      If the voltage is the same then no, Ohm's law baby. If your alternator keeps 14V at 900 rpm vs 2200 rpm, the battery doesn't know the difference, only time current goes up is when the V drops, load increases (cranking). And like mentioned, if V drops THEN you may need to raise idle until V is back to 14.5, sometimes that's 100 rpm more, 500 rpm more, on most equipment idle speed is sufficient.

      @@BluTechEquipmentyoull get less voltage drop at the boost battery at high idle when cranking the dead one, in that case itll crank easier. But yes, when just charging, no difference idle vs high

    • @Nwem111
      @Nwem111 Месяц назад

      The way I understand it is Your battery will take whatever you throw at it due to the internal resistance. Meaning you shouldn’t boost a dead battery with a full one because you will be charging at a amperage higher then rated for the battery and it will heat up among other things
      If your battery is below 14 volts it’s looking to absorb that juice and if your alternator is putting out 10 amps it will take all of it if your alternators putting out 140 amps it will charge allot faster. You won’t get full ratted alternator output unless you spin it at the rated rpm therefor more rpm more amps faster charging battery given the charging voltage is consistent
      The alternator is a magnet passing windings every time the magnet passes it can only move so many electrons. Speed up the occurrence then speed up the electron flow which means more amps,
      Final topic alternator tests are not done with the engine idling and when you use a genorator to charge your batteries with a battery charger your not going to leave the genorator idling either

    I didn't see any final drive repair?
    Should be how to jump start a machine, finding mice under your hood, fixing belt for air compressor 🤦‍♂️

      Out of all the truck's I've run, I'd still take this 6.7 over the Ram's and International's. Ran a T300 for a bit, reliable, but the cabs are wayyy too small. The Ford's are by far the most comfortable trucks though, running 12-16 hr days, 4-5 hrs in the seat one way sometimes.
