i got a 6.5 that ever since i replaced the fuel filters i been getting air in my bowl somehow. now pretty much every day before i head out i have to prime the pump and crack the plastic valve and bleed the aire out of the system otherwise ill stall and hard start. not sure where to look pretty sick and tired of it by now. i got another fuel filter with the plastic cap . just doing research before i waste a day on it. doesnt seem to be leaking like yours but rather sucking air into the system somewhere which is pretty much a leak. but yea. over it. thanks.
Have you checked the hardlines that comes from the lift pump or any other metal heart lines because I had the same issue too and it started leaking bad and I found out what lines were bad the rubber ones and then the hard lines have O-ring and I used Teflon tape and that’s been working pretty good so far and what I would suggest also getting some clear fuel line tubing and put it where your injector hard lines go that are metal also to your Injector pump and a couple other places I could send you some pics if you want what I would suggest and this is worked out so far so good now I’m just dealing with my loose wire on my Starter get that a shot my picture would like help. Also to know what I’m talking about a voice messaging this message. Hopefully this makes sense.
Awesome video as always. Quick question. Throwing Code P0251. Truck runs normal to my knowledge. Only reason I noticed is because it will refuse to start every couple days. Bought a lift pump and new filter thinking it was a fuel issue till I checked the code. Have not installed new lift pump yet though. Truck will start after messing with filter bleeder and cranking after some time.
The P0251 is normally an IP death code. You can replace the OPS, lift pump and fuel filter which having positive pressure may clear it. But odds are that pump is hurt.
@@ethandubois9270 I do not. I have a small clip in another video on valve covers where I bleed the system prior to starting it. normally there is no need to bleed the lines as long as the lift pump is working and you prime the system up to the IP.
Change the oil. Fluid damper. Fass lift pump from Leroy diesel. Injection pump and injectors from Verlin Martin. S300 turbo from Verlin and you’ll be set. Intercooler if you have the means to do it.
I was in awe when I seen you start the engine without the intake. Learned a lot from your video. Thanks a million!
@@arepagan6714 a lot of people have the same response. It won’t hurt them to idle like that during trouble shooting. I’m glad the videos help!

@@Leroy_Jenkens good chance the o rings rolled up on the filter when you put it in. I’ve had a number of them do that and pull air.

@@gingersnapcustoms I appreciate the help!
Do you have a video on bleeding injection lines

I have a 1982 k20 with a 6.2 what are neccesary mods and if any machining to make a reliable 300hp

Thanks
Also i heard someone say that 82 6.2s have different injector threads is that true or just a myth
@@Big_country_beau it’s true. They are course thread.
Ok thanks
Cool
Can't believe you took the intake off...
