I love the sheer randomness of this. And I love even more that everybody takes this so seriously. But what I love the most is that it is actually a great costume that I secretly want now!
I think that was the charm of the whole project. I'm sure Weta deals with so many serious projects on the regular for movies etc that having someone come in with a silly idea for the sake of it was probably really refreshing! :)

Wow the algorithm got it right on this one! I'm a plastazote 'technician' in the UK, Weta inspired my whole career. One of the best parts of the job is seeing how excited people get. I think your acting really shone through ;)

I love that Simone gets to do such silly, amazing things. Because she is silly and amazing, and builds silly, amazing things. And then we get to watch. I really like silly combined with amazing.
Just came across this video! I can't imagine how much fun this was for you, but your face said it all! The creatives at Weta seem to be so kind, and game for anything. LoTR is my favorite series too, BTW for a lot of the reasons involving the practical effects, the costuming, and the detailed world building that Peter Jackson and Weta did. And also Gandalf.

Business Mantis Shrimp is honestly the funniest concept
I did spend the first minute trying to figure out whether there was a mantis shrimp in Lord of the Rings and I'd just somehow managed to forget about it...
This comment makes me wish that: 1. youtube allowed us to post images in the comments. And 2. that I had the photoshop skills to find an image from LOTR to hide the Business Mantis Shrimp in.
A mantis shrimp would've probably been a better ring bearer than Frodo. I mean, with that supersonic punch no orc could've gotten even near him.

All that from something that is only 3 to 5cm (1 3/16 to 2 inches) long!

Ingrid AL no icelandic is based on danish as is norwegian. Swedish is the only language that is stilö based on old norse. Up in the north they still use old norse words and accent

Surprisingly I love this idea, it worked really well, as most of it you could just use a business suit. The prosthetics were hard so not so difficult to create, then the colors made it fun.
