@@davidmorley7495 what the comment meant was that the "kill zone" she set on her robot deer is not the kill zone of a real deer, it would hit the digestive tract or even missed it and hit just flesh. But when she missed her "kill zone" shots it actually landed on where an actual killzone of a real deer would be (lungs, heart). It's not really a joke per se but just pointing out something ironically funny.
My guess is that all her hilarious remarks are similar to the things that go through the minds of most girls. Simone just has no filter whatsoever, and the result is hilarious.
Simone, this is amazingly funny, and the production quality is fabulous! Seriously bummed this stands as an unsold pilot. I hope you and Adam find someone to pick this up as a regular series!
This is still one of my favorite RUclips videos of all time. The aesthetic, the production value and Simone's charming and hilarious personality. Boy oh boy ~
Simone this was amazing! As a Vegan and Mechanical Engineer who grew up watching Mythbusters and Starwars this really hit home! Showcasing Mark Anderson, and Adam Savage really demonstrates the power you have as a creator. I believe that this show has the potential to be the inspiration for the next generation of makers, tinkerers, and engineers! Production style and comedy were spot on for this audience. I believe you're particularly setting a great example for young women interested in the field as well!
Simone - I dunno if you're one of those people who try to read every comment, but, this was fantastic. Production was pretty much flawless. Pacing, humor, music. It's so easy to get those things wrong and for jokes and moments to fall flat. It was perfect absurdist fun. I wish I could make content that was shot and edited that well. I hope someone picks up your pilot, you're different than all the other maker personalities out there.
The fact that Adam is executive producer of this shows in the production of this. It very much resembles the old mythbusters narrative and camera style.

"I'm on a budget. And i spent most of that budget on tofu" LMAO. No idea who you are, what you've done before or why i only saw this one random vid today.... but damn you're hilarious.
That favorite thing on the internet ever still goes to Rob Cantor - ruclips.net/video/o0u4M6vppCI/видео.html It's even on a similar topic. Got the best reaction videos I know, too. And this robot hunt deserves a reaction video of "youtubers react", too, just like ruclips.net/video/6eSrztmvLTY/видео.html
I really respect your stance on how you handled someone with differing views than you and the video was entertaining and hilarious as always. Love this channel.
I love how the former vegetarian hunter makes a really good case for the ethics of hunting and the value of not only knowing where your meat comes from, but personally being invested in the emotional aspect of killing an animal for food. NIce! 10:18 "this is what I want to think. I want to think that killing animals is wrong" So refreshingly honest
Agreed. Fundamentally I'm not opposed to hunting at all. Any option that is creating less demand from meat coming from factory farms is not only more sustainable environmentally, but far more ethical. Not to mention in a lot of places, (PA for example) we have extirpated all the natural predators and overpopulation of deer is not only a huge issue for highway safety and balance in the ecological community, but it is even creating undue suffering for the animals. I know if I had to pick either slow starvation, or being shot and eaten, I would pick the latter. I am a vegetarian, and I have friends who occasionally skirt on the side of fad-diet elitism, and everyone seems to forget that the quinoa they're eating is being grown in land plots that were clear cut out of the Amazon rain forest. All subsistence has consequences, ethical and environmental. Our responsibility is to understand our own impact and make it as personal as possible to us.
The problem being a) in vast cities hardly everyone can hunt, so its like an exclusive activity b) in vast industrial complex there still is no need to because weve developed substitutes. c) still, ecosystems can be destroyed by hunting you are still detached from that, just some connection to death of an individual animal? But while depleting fish stocks. I dunno. It would be worse for the environment. Its the demand being so high that requires batteries. Which is why meat eating to the degree we do now just sucks. I do get though it was more a small quantity- once a week or something for a millenia until macdonalds and frozen food and batteries. And people saying "we are omnivores thus every meal is meat!"..thats kind of ok if we did less.
Agreed, I'm very grateful for her take on it and that same view is honestly most hunters' take on why they do it. I think a lot of the time hunters are labeled as some bloodthirsty killers when that is simply not true.
@@toastom You're absolutely right. Plus let's face it, a carrot is also a living creature, but we're biased to think killing animals is "wrong" because we're animals too. We grow or gather plants to eat without a tinge of guilt, because we don't think of ALL living things as fellow creatures. And fellow creatures eat each other to survive. It's not evil or wrong. It's just the way nature is.
I can totally empathize with that! I don't know how many cheap raincoats I've ripped up, before FINALLY giving in and buying an expensive one. It's lasted for several years at this point.

Sorry for the long post, but this is classic Simone. Thank you! You've managed to find some deep and meaningful insight into American culture through your meandering and purposefully ill-conceived, and alien approach. By trying to understand American mid-western culture and approach to land management, hunting, and ethics you have said something profound about yourself and our generation. It is important to have discussions (NOT ARGUMENTS) with people that you wouldn't necessarily interact with. While social media SHOULD have made such conversations routine, it has instead made such conversations harder. Thank you for doing this!

Oh. And there was me thinking that the stereotypical unimaginative trolls simply ran out of steam on the first few dozen videos. There goes that hypothesis.
I'm impressed with the either the camerawork or the editing. It looked like they were switching between a bunch of different angles without getting any cameras in frame.

Best show ever, the tesla pickup was excellent too. But the writing was great, humor and tempo was spot on. I find your style and on camera presence a fresh relief from what ever is bothering or distracting my peace. Thanks

2018:
2019: wow let's recommend this video
I'm so glad they did
I've never seen a comment section as amazing as this before, and I've been watching roughly 50 videos every single day for the past 12 years. Well done Simone, you broke the toxic internet and made it friendly. Plz, share your secrets with the rest of us.

lol, wow... So in other words... they're lurking and possibly posting comments here, but they disappear quickly. Nice.
Oh. And there was me thinking that the stereotypical unimaginative trolls simply ran out of steam on the first few dozen videos. There goes that hypothesis.
@MaestroCygni: Textbook irony.
I liked this...and I don't even know what "this" is! What the heck did i just watch??
I'm impressed with the either the camerawork or the editing. It looked like they were switching between a bunch of different angles without getting any cameras in frame.
She grunts in Nordic. This entertains me.
i love that lol
*Legend has it*
Simone and Daryl still roam the meadows of California.
Didn't you say this series was going to be called technical difficulties?
Yes you’re right. And yes we changed it last minute. Simone’s got problems and a show is one.
"Technical Difficulties" sounded familiar. Was the name already in use?
Would this be "pilot" then? I'd watch um all.
Yes, technically it is a name of a Podcast and a group of former radio DJs which include Tom Scott (Red Shirt dude on YT, Matt Gray (the bounciest man on the internet) , Gary Brannan and Chris Joel.

I must be getting old if I need someone to remind me about the podcast.
OMG. I had a really bad day, my recovery wasn’t going well, but after an exhaustive day, I sat back in my hospital bed and binge watched some of your videos. People are looking at me wondering how after such a frustrating day I am in stitches with laughter. This was the boost I needed. Wow you are really quite nutty, I love it. If your ever in the Uk I would like to buy you a coffee or a beer, you are just fun fun fun. Please continue your work 🙏🤩
