  • Do you have a patchy beard? are you filled with self-doubt and worry? I did and still do, but sometimes you have to take that leap into the unknown.
    In this video I give an update on the patchy beard since my first upload and give my view on the perfect beard routine (certainly for me). This is also a video to say a big thank you to all the people who offered such positive feedback and support. This is really the only reason I have posted another beard video, I had only really intended to make one before starting a project surrounding fear and the impact it has on people's lives.
    This video will also discuss my future plans and the real intention for this channel.
    I really am at the beginning of this journey, so any support will be extremely helpful (I am literally fumbling my way through this, check out my tiny Twitter following @REVfearOLUTION...I do have instagram too, but like I say...early early days).
    Again thank you so much for the support. Hopefully you will stick around and see where all this is going.
    If would like to support the future project you can donate at:

    Any donation, however small is received with genuine thanks.

    I was so glad to see you post another video Mark. Your videos are peaceful to watch.
    I too, gave in to the hairdryer. That and the right products make 100% difference. After hitting my yeard I had a slight trim at 13 months. Now I’m am shooting for 18 months. We”ll see about the tweard. Your beard is an inspiration and looks awesome. Thanks

      Hey Robert, I just finished watching your 3 videos... nicely done, you are extremely personable, authentic and a natural speaker. You make some interesting points (that relate to a puritanical stance on beards)... with an equally interesting "back story", so looking forward to seeing your beard progress in your upcoming video's. It is also great that I am able to see your journey right from the beginning, which is not always the case...thanks again 😎

    Hair dryer works wonders on the beard! I use one most days on mine. Beard oil is a big asset, however I have never used a conditioner. I'm gonna try it :)

    • @revfearolution
      @revfearolution  6 лет назад +1

      Yeah, it's great! I was always reluctant because I thought it might damage the beard hair, but with conditioner you only need a quick blast!
      All beards are different, but if you get a chance, let me know how you get on with the conditioner. The challenge will be finding one...often people advertise butter, balms and even oils as conditioner...they "condition" the beard, but I don't classify them as a conditioner that we would associate with that term. Anyway...thanks for the comment, really appreciate it

    very much looking forward to your next video. "fear" can be a real a****ole. i know that, from personal history [i overcame it, thanks to professional help].
    i am NOT ashamed: "anxiety disorder" can hit anyone, anytime. no logic involved, nor status.
    after having a driver's licence for mor than 30 years; having driven more than 20.000 miles a year (without any accidents) i found myself (from one day to the next) in the position: "i am afraid of driving a car AT ALL". took me (and professional help) more than twoandahalf years, to repair that (including pills & lots of psychatric advice/guidance).
    - now again rioting german AUTOBAHNs (as we do here, as SPORT...)
    - fearless at 140+ mph [as before my disorder]
    [last, not least:] beard on, please. your beard's looking amazingly good, IMHO; especially your 'stache is a 'killer'.

      Great point Adam, very insightful...I definitely do scrutinize myself excessively (are you a psychologist? You should be!).
      I was actually in a lot of pain by the end of the video where I had been kneeling for so long on the bed! I am going to probably make future videos at my fold away desk.
      Thanks for the feedback on the technicals, I am a serious novice so all of those elements are a working progress!
      Thanks for taking the time, I genuinely wish you all the best.

      Thanks for this, honestly growing my beard was one of my best decisions regarding my aesthetic selfhood, and getting past those early stages is key. My cheeks are still weak, but a beard is not made up of just cheeks...it is the whole that makes the beard uniquely yours. Keep growing my bearded brother.

    I just saw your first, You sounded like you just survive the war😬 your beard is awesome I’ve been trying for years to get a beard like that I take the beard grow pills the oil everything, and it reaches what you see in my picture and stops growing, now that I’m near 66 I notice it’s growing like never before, guess some of us can’t grow until we’re old men

    • @revfearolution
      @revfearolution  3 года назад

      Haha...indeed...I'm a morbid sort, so it doesn't take a lot to give such a harrowing presentation! I wish I could justify the tone of this video by saying I had come from war, alas I just lack a bit of oomph!
      Your beard looks superb from what I can see, and the terminal length varies...I think that is the joy of beards....you just don't know how it will turn out until you grow it! I keep thinking of going to terminal beard, but eventually it gets a bit wizardesque (not a bad thing...who doesn't love Gandalf?) And accentuates my weak areas so I give it a trim...maybe this year I will see how far I can take it! Thanks for the message, like I say, your beard looks great, and will only get better with age.

    Dude I'm like a month in and I have really bad dandruff and dryness in general. Oil isn't a long term solution it seems

    • @revfearolution
      @revfearolution  5 лет назад

      Do you exfoliate regularly? I use a face scrub once or twice a week...my chin and moustache area get really dry but this seems to stop any "beardruff" and also really helps with itchyness. This is why routine is really great. I would for example exfoliate on a Sunday then a Wednesday. You should think about a beard moisturizer too if this doesn't work.
      Don't be too disheartened, it's all about trial and error. Good luck bud

    Did your under lip area fill in as you got older or have you always had it?

    • @revfearolution
      @revfearolution  4 года назад

      Everything has definitely filled in with age, but if I am honest, the underlip was always a notable area of growth along with the moustache and chin. I probably wouldn't have been able to grow my beard before the age of 30, so it was a long time coming...glad it has come at this age though, I am alot more comfortable in my skin these days, so not so self conscious like I was in my teens/early twenties...
      What is your growth pattern?
