Possibly the most sexually, romantic song ever!!! You need to be very emotionally involved and have been left to know this! And young! Good bless love and tragity eh, xxxx
I remember seeing this performance on Top of the Pops, it took my breath away and still does. I can't remember the last time a video or song has transported me back in time quite so effectively. Watching this takes me right back to being a little boy completely blown away by this incredibly beautiful, talented woman.
I was exactly the same David. When this edition was re run on BBC4 and Peter Powell announced it I thought there is something about this I like but couldn't quite remember what it was and then it came back to me. It was half way through the second verse when all of a sudden she starts miming the words. She is a sexy woman with a lovely voice and her miming was very erotic. I saw this in 1978 aged 12 and those lovely thoughts got locked away in the back of my mind and there they stayed for 35 years until the repeat when back they came and I must say I was loving enjoying her all over again.
And I was the same as you two gentlemen! I was in Junior school, knew nothing about girls, when I saw this on TOTP. All I knew was I was transfixed by Laurel and intuitively knew she was 'woman'. She took my breath away at even that tender age. Glad to see I was not the only one!
i've always liked man tran songs but didn't know there was a former member (before i was even born!). hope you could post more of laurel's performances as man tran and as solo artist. thanks!
One of the rare events someone actually singing live on Top of the Pops. The show became a joke with artists refusing to appear in the studio. The promo video became the norm and covered up for artists who couldn't perform their songs live.

Yes, indeed, this is one of those tunes/arrangements/performances that is special but in a special way.

First time I herd this i loved it back all those years i was 12 now 56 still love it priceless
Great song, that guy in the background is an absolute ringer for Harry Enfield's character, "Tim nice but dim".
Seen them at The Usher Hall in Edinburgh when they did a big tour in the 70's, great night unmatched since .
I would've LOVED to see this in person.
I think I would've passed clean the hell out...
I love this song and the group
No idea why I totally love this woman
Maybe we're born in a wrong generation hehehe
the reason is in front of you
@@bryanleigh6497 true Bryan. Very true

Laurel may well be the sexiest woman on the planet. She has a four octave range to back it up as well.
Now Laurel and Janis return to sing TOGETHER AGAIN !! they have formed together with Lauren Kinhan the vocal group called "JALALA"
Tim Nice-But-Dim!!! Love it!

Lovely lady!
Lovely song, well performed.
But i'm sure the chap in the middle is really "Tim Nice-But-Dim".
@CarlSchwamberger

Great song! Pity about the fashion sense though.
