Taking the straps off, even with the tool, I find it to be extremely difficult. I notice that even you struggled with it a bit - and you are probably very experienced.
Thanks a bunch for your comment David! Removing the covers even with the tool always looks silly even for our experienced technicians because it is just the nature of removing a cover. It's always fun though!
This video is great thank you so much for posting!

Question, how tight does my cover need to be should their be give between the straps?
Juan your cover should be very tight. You shouldn't be able to remove any of the springs by hand.
@@chuckAWD thank you.
When putting on the pool cover, how do I keep it from falling in the pool and getting full of heavy water?
Where did you get the extension for your drill? Home Depot?

This is our 1st year with a mesh cover. We’re finding it virtually impossible to get a “catch” on the screw with the bar.
You have to get the spring up really high on the bar and put a lot of might into it. It's definitely not easy.

Do you keep springs attached to cover when you fold cover to open pool or do you remove springs from cover to fold it?
Springs to be kept with same tension without changes to be used as is on closing
To much of a hassle to put on and off
