Just had my new Hayward heater installed. When I turn it off, it shows “Lo.” I try the quick clean button on my pump to raise the RPMs, and the lo indicator goes away but comes back on if I turn off the pump or the quick clean. I understood the technician that installed it to say it should not stay with the Lo indicator light on. Do you know what I’m doing wrong?

Take a piece of flexible hose. Silicone the nipple on the filter, heat the hose with a heat gun push it on nipple. Immediately tighten down a hose clamp with a nut driver. Use a threaded barbed push on, for other end, clamp it. Use teflon tape and tighten down a cap

Mine gives error code "SB" which the manual says "keypad stuck button error" but power cycling and such isn't fixing anything. Ideas?

Just found your video. I did the pmp off, backwash pump on, few sec, then the rinse cycle. Followed steps but my psi is still showing 17. Was in the 18 area. Did i not backwash enough?

Is this heater for above ground or in ground? What size heater do i need for a 22' round? I am new at this, so excuse my ignorance if i ask a weird question. 😅 I want mine to be abe to do ahove or inground. In next year i am getting a simi inground pool about same size. I need to know the appropriate size heater. Thank you.

Brand new heater installed last year. Never used because of bad weather and end of the season happening. My pool company opened my pool yesterday. They said to turn on the pool pump, put the heater on pool mode, and set the temperature. I did this about three hours ago. The flame icon isn’t lit. It still says lo. What am I doing wrong?

I am seeing "EC" on the display. Every couple of minutes it shows 1.88 for a split second and switches back to EC. I have a hatward FDN400. Any idea what the issue is? I couldn't find it in the manual. Appreciate the help

Wait you only have to backwash for 45 seconds or just that's all you did for the video?

With the calls I get, I'd argue the number 1 cause is the heater bypass is on, #2 gas is off, #3 dirty filter. Heaters should be serviced often. At least once a year. Spiders love to build webs in the gas orifices. Rodents love to knaw on wiring. Thanks for the video.
