Every time I hear this song, I am transported back to a scene in my youth where I was at boarding school in the South Island of New Zealand, and a fellow boarder who was in his final year had died in a farming accident and they brought his body back to lay in state at our boarding house. We lined up to view him and to say our farewells and there he was laying with his Bob Dylan teeshirt on, bruised and young, we were so young and it was so shocking and one boy, cried and wailed for all of us... We played this song at his funeral. RIP young man.
So sad, dear. May the blessings of the universe shower you. I am an older woman in the USA, but I have experienced so similar things., even gathering around a bed to pray while a two-year-old was taken off life support,. When I was in college, a close friend and school mate died in an accident and we had a similar experience to yours. This song reminds me of the universal spirit that belongs to all of us across the world. Hugs across these thousands of miles and years.

As I sat holding my Brother's hand as he lay dying from a bullet to his brain and only thing keeping his hand warm was a machine, this song kept going thru me as I sat there for 12 hrs before he was removed from the machine. I need to keep playing for a change, my anger runs deep, but the music helps to take the edge off. Ty to all

When Dylan's Live at Budokan was released with his live version of Knocking on Heaven's Door on it, my son was born and being prem and under weight, he was in an incubator in the special,care baby unit for a month and Dylan's live version was always playing on the radio and I felt my little new born family was really 'knocking on heavens door..' Over forty years later, my son is a great guitar player and he's also a dad and I say again what a beautiful version this is...

They sing one of my most fav songs beautifully. This song touches my heart to the core, it was playing the day after we had lost our oldest bro (1980). The beginning of my worst heartbreaks of losing my 4 bros within 8 yrs. We lost our mom n grew up being closer than ever. Love n miss u all❣😇
@@khikhanoseb1204 So sorry for ur loss(es). I know that it's a part of life, living, but there are certain things that can be just crushing n heartbreaking. The thing is, losing family had started when I was 5 yrs old, we had lost our mom then many others throughout the yrs n nobody had ever explained or talked with us about death. Two of my bros died by suicides, the other two by murder. Natural death had seemed a lil easier to deal with bc we were able to prepare ourselves, the deaths of my bros were shocking n unexpected. Having grown up without our parents n with our grandpa, we had all gotten very close, I was the only girl n they had always looked out n protected me. I still miss them so much n still feel that gut wrenching pain, feels like I lost them just yesterday sometimes. Altho the breakdowns have gotten a lil less. It just doesn't seem fair that their lives were cut short (21 to 25 yrs old). I am so grateful for their children n grandchildren, they're such beautiful great reminders of them, our family has such strong genes. Last yr my youngest nephew had died by suicide, he n I had grown so close n he had looked so much like his dad, my younger bro. His oldest bro died from cirrhosis of the liver around 10 yrs ago, we were also close. I pray that ur given strength, comfort n healing also, God bless*

Every time I hear this song, I am transported back to a scene in my youth where I was at boarding school in the South Island of New Zealand, and a fellow boarder who was in his final year had died in a farming accident and they brought his body back to lay in state at our boarding house. We lined up to view him and to say our farewells and there he was laying with his Bob Dylan teeshirt on, bruised and young, we were so young and it was so shocking and one boy, cried and wailed for all of us... We played this song at his funeral. RIP young man.

I am an older woman in the USA, but I have experienced so similar things., even gathering around a bed to pray while a two-year-old was taken off life support,. When I was in college, a close friend and school mate died in an accident and we had a similar experience to yours. When Dylan's Live at Budokan was released with his live version of Knocking on Heaven's Door on it, my son was born and being prem and under weight, he was in an incubator in the special,care baby unit for a month and Dylan's live version was always playing on the radio and I felt my little new born family was really 'knocking on heavens door..' Over forty years later, my son is a great guitar player and he's also a dad and I say again what a beautiful version this is...

The thing is, losing family had started when I was 5 yrs old, we had lost our mom then many others throughout the yrs n nobody had ever explained or talked with us about death. Two of my bros died by suicides, the other two by murder. Natural death had seemed a lil easier to deal with bc we were able to prepare ourselves, the deaths of my bros were shocking n unexpected. Having grown up without our parents n with our grandpa, we had all gotten very close, I was the only girl n they had always looked out n protected me. I still miss them so much n still feel that gut wrenching pain, feels like I lost them just yesterday sometimes. Altho the breakdowns have gotten a lil less. It just doesn't seem fair that their lives were cut short (21 to 25 yrs old). I am so grateful for their children n grandchildren, they're such beautiful great reminders of them, our family has such strong genes. Last yr my youngest nephew had died by suicide, he n I had grown so close n he had looked so much like his dad, my younger bro. His oldest bro died from cirrhosis of the liver around 10 yrs ago, we were also close. I pray that ur given strength, comfort n healing also, God bless*

If there are millions of people on antidepressant and anxiety medication, then there are still millions of anxious and depressed people. Masking a symptom with a drug is not healing and so the fullness of the spirit and fruits of the spirit are lost and life looses joy and natural pleasure. This is why spiritism/pharmakia cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven and neither can the sinners.
For Life in accord with God's promise for life we must walk in and by God's Spirit of altruistic Love for Life. God's #Loveisnotacortisol stress hormone and God's Love guides us away from the causes of stress hormones to allow our endorphins to flourish.
