The Cobra neck seems like an interesting idea for Godzilla.
And a horrible design for toys….

Although the eyes are off. Tilting the head down and doing a side angle give an absolute fierce look!
Against Mecha G and Tokyo SOS are my favorite of the millennium series. I had to have these. Neca knocked it out of the park for the price, especially that tail.
Yeah for the asking price, this was a no brainer!
And (at the time) even with my nit-pick about the eyes.. I'd rather the looking up, than the wonky head bonk eyes the SHMA had, with a bigger price. Altough, they did fix him up rather nicely!

One of the last neca gojis to ever release. Has it's imperfections but still a great figure that showed the line's imporvements. Also a pretty s.u.s. goji.

Would've loved to see NECA continue on after this, just to see how they'd tackle more designs, and maybe even other Kaiju.

They really should have... but alas. SAD.
Would have been cool to have a Kamata-Kun by Neca and possibly a 98/TriStar Godzilla from them as well. Who knows If they'll ever get their licenses back come ON Taho!
I think the aoshima kiryu is a good enough partner of neca godzilla 2003

Yeah It's Pretty wild just how quickly they rose up in price following the dissolving of the line.
Im a wee bit bummed because some of em, i'd still like to get... like the reissues i missed.

It bugs me that the neck limits the arm articulation, cobra neck looks cool though. I used one of these as a base for my custom Super Godzilla Figure Bagon!!! I miss NECA Godzilla figures 😭

As for the eyes....it's takes Bandi 3 tries to somewhat fix their Monsterarts version. Each one is looking up too, so I wonder if thats how the suit was? My 2ed version of SHMA didn't even have a left pupil, lol.

Gotta try the bending wire in mine now, especially after watching yours. Here's an interesting question, how come the articulation with the hands didn't carry over to the later releases like Shin and Legendary? Was it just the earlier ones where you could open and close the hands? The other thing I like about mine is the fact that I can open and close his hands where he can kinda hold something. Would be nice If Neca kept that in their later releases.
Shin's hands are just too small and with how 2014/2019's hands were made, i don't think tossing a hinge in there would've done them much favors. Guess NECA weren't keen on making new hands overall lol
God, I hope NECA somehow gets the Godzilla license back. Their last few figures were huge improvements over their earlier releases, and it hurts all the more that we were all robbed of so many possibilities for future NECA Gojis (G'73/74/75, G2K, Finalgoji, more 12" giant figures, etc).
I don't pray often, but I'm pleading with the Big Man above to help NECA bring back Godzilla as soon as possible.
I’d be surprised if they ever came back to the IP. Both after the whole Shin Godzilla / Playmates Fiasco, and that other companies have the IP and are doing what they did already and do +
It’d be great to have another line to look forward to, don’t get me wrong. But it just seems like that ship has more than sailed by now.
If you look at Godzilla’s eyes closely in close ups in the movie you’ll see he has that upward look even when looking forward ( just a little detail I wanted to mention)

You should see this guy with the Zetto head replacement.
I had to have both it first started with the battle hyper yellow Godzilla then I got the normal color one two weeks later love them both best neca Godzilla next to 62 damn rob even the gvb Billotaie one that is cool to I just love them all

Personally, I'd recommend BioGoji over SOSGoji and his perfect tail. For sure.
My guy, the eyes arent googly or derp looking, they just look up a bit lol. But yeah both of these are great, & definately puts that expensive & malnorished SHMA version to shame. Now to watch the other NECA re-reviews & see if all those Bandai Movie Monster figures have indeed - really went to your head! lol x2 #poorlittlenecas #meanrob
