This design of Godzilla, very very quickly (almost instantly) became my favourite, quickly surpassing Kiryugoji. This figure does a beautiful job at capturing that design, the perfect combination between a modern more legendary take on Godzilla and the classic features we've all come to know and love

Looking great! I take it you are not bothered by Godzilla's hands? To me it looks like he's wearing thick gloves. I find it distracting. But otherwise I like the design.

Went ahead and bit the bullet. One of the sellers on eBay gave me an offer and I took it. With shipping, each one is gonna cost me about 75 each. It’s unfortunate but this is one of the best Godzilla Vinyls I’ve ever seen, and I love the design for both

These figures look a lot nicer then I thought they would! I would've appreciated this kind of paint on the OG KOTM Ghidorah or ya know....at the very least the hEaVy PaInT vErSiOn

I finally got these two as a late birthday purchase (both my own, and for Godzilla's), and I couldn't be happier! Sure, I may have paid a bit more for them than I should have, but that's a minor regret, completely overshadowed by my joy to own these beautiful figures.
Truth be told, I wouldn't have gotten them if not for this review, so thanks a million for changing my mind.
Finally got mine a whole year later. Thankfully the prices havent exploded too much, since I paid about $130 total, shipping included.
It's nice having a more tradition godzilla design

Fantastic review rob! Out of all exclusive figures they threw out as some are complete duds, they knocked it out of the park with these two figures. Ghidorah looks awesome and Godzilla is easily the best out of the two. The only buzzkill is that they are exclusives and thus the price is brutal, especially when it comes with shipping. Getting it will be very challenging as the time to get this is extremely limited and the aftermarket won't be forgiving.

Least with Godzilla store exclusive releases they're available for a certain amount of time! These though.. man, limited window of availablilty PLUS exclusivity?
Kinda cheap there, Bandai. But I guess, It's an extra hook to get people to the ride and spend more money there, specially during these tough times.

I always use Awesome Collector. They usually pretty good on their prices, and very trustworthy. I would have loved to have gotten this Godzilla, but I was too late to pre-order it.
Seeing this Godzilla figure makes me want me to buy Another one and let me be honest this is by far the best looking Godzilla Vinyl Figure I have ever scene
So far that's a 3 star Ghidorah, Godzilla, and Mechagodzilla. Now give us a new high quality Rodan and Mothra Bandai!

Just ordered the Godzilla holding off on the Ghidorah.G looks amazing both in the ride and in figure form.I agree with you that this is by far the most impressive fig in the line ( along with Gamera 95 ) It reminds me of G as seen in the poster art for Godzilla vs Biollante with the green highlights seen on the original cover art for the VHS release.With Bandai's disappointments as of late it's refreshing to see the quality of this G fig They did an amazing job.on this from the detail to the dry brush.It wasn't cheap but I had to have it and looking forward to receiving it.And I hope we will see more of this G design in the Future perhaps a movie . Makes me wonder why Toho didn't put more effort into a movie instead of the Godzilla Earth series and Singular Point.Great review for an amazing fig.
Just got my own Godzilla Ride Ver a few days ago from the Godzilla Store for $23 before shipping. Waiting for it to arrive in my Buyee warehouse to ship it with some stuff I got sitting around.

@@godzilla1854 shipping at Buyee is like forced EMS so it's about $25-30 shipping for a single item, so the total is still less than eBay prices. For the figure with the other items though I spent $40ish on shipping. The first purchase coupon really helps!

Man these are extremely awesome! Ghidorah not soooo much but he is decent and Goji...hohohohohooooooo boi! He does look Amazing indeed! When i first saw it thought yeah it's Decent but a Ride thing so meh, but now....i wish they use it for a Potential Future Toho Movie, i mean it would work really good but it will most likely end up as CGI and not as a Suit still would love to see this on the Big Screen tho

My only complain is that Bandai didn't make a Rodan figure, because Rodan appears on the Ride.
I don't know why they didn't make a Rodan, unless they just didn't feel like It, I can't see any other reason.

And The Ghidorah design is GMK Ghidorah meets Game of Thrones

So what ya need to do is, copy the links I posted. And then go to ZenMarket.
When you're on ZenMarket you need to paste the link In the search bar at the top of the site. Then click search.
The First pop up will be the confirmation window. Click add. Then you wait. When ZenMarket finally confirms the order, then you pay for It and wait for it to arrive at their
warehouse. Once It does, you basically pick shipping options and yada yada. Bit of a process, but worth it in the end!
I think its kinda nuts that Toho finally designed the kind of Godzilla I've been waiting for since 1995, and it's not for either of the two recent animes but a RIDE. Sigh lol. Also I hate to be a curly toe stickler bro, but she's East not West....🤭

I feel like a lot of people are gonna be feeling the same way you with this design! It absolutely feels like the most logical step that wasn’t taken after the Heisei or even Millennium eras ended. While I do love my living Scab-Boy Shin, this guy really does fill a gap! Might need to snag a SHMA release… if they make it!

Well I think this design would be wasted on an Anime. Why NOT get creative for an anime? But for a live action movie? Oh yeah, it's good. I slightly prefer Shin, but as the star of a franchise, this is the perfect Godzilla.

I'm honestly not a huge fan of the Ghidorah design, but that GODZILLA THOUGH! Best Godzilla skin texture I've seen, actually running with the keloid scars of the original and Shin. This is the skin texture I WANTED for the Legendary version. Overall, I think it's just a good upgrade to the Heisei design. If Japan ever brings back the suit, this is the suit I want.

I hope I'll have an opportunity to get these at a decent price sometime. For now I think I'll have to skip 'em. Great figures tho, I know I'm not alone in wanting Toho to utilize that Goji design for something in the future. Maybe they will let the designer finally make a Godzilla movie, seems like a lifelong passion for him. He was the same one responsible for the Always Sunset on Third Street 2 cameo and design.
Here's to hoping they let him, wouldn't mind seeing a movie or two with this incarnation! And to think he's been within reach

Great, so I'm not the only one who notices Bandai's lack of care and quality for Monsterverse characters.
I think it's been a pretty solid assumption since the KOTM stuff dropped, It's a shame really... had they given an ounce of a fuck about those I don't doubt that those things probably would've come out perfectly!

There is no doubt this ghidorah was designed like if a man was inside it like the original ghidorahs. Kind of like how Guillermo Del Torro did with the kaiju designs for pacific rim. Same goes for Godzilla.

I don’t know why people are so crazy about this Godzilla design. It has the same problem Legendarys design has and that is its head is too small for its body. If they made his head bigger and snout a bit longer I think it would make it miles better.
