I always thought NECA's was more accurate against MA with both 2014 and 2019. But the face....the face. Despite owning all the SHMA 2019s, I still used the NECA on my main shelf until I got the Poster Color SHMA. That is seriously the GOAT of Godzilla's, yes even against Hiya. I still consider NECA's 24" big daddy my favorite figure on my collection, it's sad we never got a 2019 version in that size.
SHMA/Yuji Sakai just seem to do whatever they want when it comes to the Monsterverse Godzilla. Which, ain’t a bad thing… kinda lol But it is what it is. Was hoping we would’ve gotten a Giant KOTM Godzilla as well, seemed like the best thing to do. But seeing as how they wouldn’t even do that for Ghidorah, I guess it was a one time thing. Unfortunately.

Now this may be an unpopular opinion, but when Hiya releases their Toho line, I dont see it being better than SHMA. Yuji is the master of suitmatioin sculpting.....sadly we, the consumers pay of it too, lol.
The problem with SHMA's Legendary Godzillas (Except Godzilla 2014) is that they stylized him. He's way more skinnier than he was in the movie. The head is also a little small. Everything else about him is fine honestly, just hope their 2024 figure will be amazing. Hiya is on a roll.
I got this figure 2 years ago for Christmas and I was lucky enough to receive one with the face painted perfectly. His face looks exactly like it does in the picture, even from the front. Easily my favorite Godzilla figure that I own.

i know that Neca and Hasbro are 2 different companies but the Transformers side of me fears for the translucent parts on Burning Godzilla. the whole Clear/Translucent parts break apart overtime. There was a time where if Transformers had clear plastic, there was a ticking timebomb for it to break. (I think Hasbro fixed it now) Again, I know its 2 different companies but still that fear of breakage.

Would love to help confirm if Fire Goji paint flake is an isolated issue but all my NECA Legendary Gojis are sealed in box. 😅 Also, side question: what do you think are the odds of a Hiya Ghidorah repaint dropping in 2024? This question has been haunting me for weeks now. Specifically haunting my wallet 💀

Whats crazy is the 2014's head looks pretty good....I have no idea why they just didnt reuse it for 2019. I mean the already goofed up by giving 2019 the wrong pelvis (2014 has a more dinosaur like slim pelvis, while 2019 is more mammal-like) .
my normal 2019 that I bought and found a couple month ago in a supermarket has some how an atomic breath piece but its the normal 2019 and the paint job is meh.. its more like black with some gold brown spots like someone were going over the figure with a brush and the eyes are completely white, somehow I feel mad about it but somehow also dosent, but I can still say its a pretty good figure👍
I have the OG 2019 Godzilla and Burning Godzilla. I love BG. His paint isn’t very flakey. I love both of em though. Also, quick questions, I took off the tag for the pink lemonade and Cheetos Bandai Shin Goji and put it in a card protector. Was that the right choice?
While I do miss the $25 - $30 price tag and just how consistent NECA was, at this point, we’re pretty in the clear. I don’t think they’d be adding to much to the market, safe for availability and fun repaints. Unless ya know. They just entirely rebooted how they made the figures. Then, I’d be pretty up for a return!
I still own the standard Godzilla, and in my opinion he's the best Godzilla figure Neca made While I intend to fully dive into Hiya Toys, I'm still going to keep this one. His eyes are actually not that bad, but because one is looking off to the side, he always looks like he's giving me a side eye glare 😂
My two complaints for the blueberry is his atomic breath beam… my end and more like it tends to split where the tongue attaches and the area thing spikes break way to easily
Neca godzilla 2019 v1 was my first Godzilla figure ever. He is not perfect, but he will always be my number one goji figure, even above sh monsterarts godzilla 2021 (the only monsterarts legendary goji i have)
My neca lazer beam goji have lots of problem, feet just fall of with a light tap, upper body falls of with a light tap to, tip part of the tail falls of when we rotate it just a bit, AND THE LAST THING THE WRIST CANT MOVE UP OR DOWN IT KEEPS FALLING OF THAT I NEED TO GLUE THE RIGHT WRIST. If u ask me i give it ¼ stars only nice at looks plus i forgot to say the head will fall of if we keep rotating it

Nah the NECA KOTM Godzilla Atomic is the best hands down. The SHMA face is just wrong. Always has been, even my 2014 model is just off.
