    Hope you enjoy!!

Bought the album while I was stationed at Seymour Johnson afb after the song came out and the original MTV played it . We had just received cable in the barracks. Some ridiculous low price to have it hooked up in individual rooms. Only a few of us had it and naturally those were the rooms where several people gathered on a Friday and Saturday night partying like there was no tomorrow. Lol
Anyway with all the good videos and music when SAGA came on we knew it was time to party .

I was a young A1C myself in Colorado Springs when this album “Worlds Apart” came out. I went right out and bought it just because of this song and video. I remember also when the video premiered on MTV. Incidentally, I also remember the premiere of MTV in Aug 1981, that same year. I don’t remember having cable TV in the barracks, but the year prior I had met my future wife, and moved into her apartment with her, and was sitting on the couch in our apartment living room watching that premiere when MTV came on air. I’ll never forget that day. Of course MTV is pure crap now. I don’t remember much about this album other than this song, so I guess I need to go to the closet and search all my old vinyl and spin it once again. I still have all my original stereo components that I bought while overseas in the late 80s. And here I am at age 66, still enjoying it. 🙂

It went by fast and left a big skid mark on the music world. 60's music was okay. 70's was good. 80's was THE ULTIMATE AND IT NEVER GOT BETTER in the 90's and beyond. In 2023 the 80's rule! A fact cemented in concrete. The 80's made the 70's band follow the lead or fade. 70's bands became way bigger in popularity in the 80's....Journey. Foriegner. Styx....Kiss....Aerosmith....yes....genesis....REO.....cheap trick....on and on.

We had so many great bands in Toronto in that era, I was so lucky to see them all at small clubs and back then we had a lot of great clubs. Times have changed, 2/3's of the clubs are gone and local talent does not get the chances bands had back then. I will never regret growing up in the 70's and 80's when you bought vinyl records and listened to them start to finish, as Gene Simmons said the record is dead once the CD era started.

I watched many times, then noticed after the leads, Michael trips off a riser. I’ve tripped on stage a few times in my music career, then ran like I meant to do that Lol. But after he trips the line is “We may be heading for a fall” & he looks back at the riser. Haha
