What diodes did you use for D5, D6 and D7? Everything I have read on those says they are very specific parts and are not standard diodes. You look like you have done this a few times before, so I am hoping you might have some thoughts on this. Thanks!
Looking for the same answer. I found this part number (IN4004) on this thread www.3si.org/threads/auto-climate-control-the-ticking-time-bomb.407591/ post #13
Hello, thank you for the awesome video!! I'm having trouble finding the diodes (1DF 4 OL Germanium High Frequency Diode) could you point me to a link or part number? THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
Amazing video work and repair. Wish I had this 6 years ago, the first time I tried to repair mine. I have taken off the VFD more times than I care to count. What was the green stuff you used to cover the solder traces after repairing them?
@@andrev9999 Thanks again. BTW, I was able to repair both of my units by fixing the cracked solder traces like on the video. I had already replaced the typically bad components.
Hello, I have some issues with the repair of my climate control. The R38 resistor ist blowing each time I change it. It is going to be so hot and damaged. the Transistor with that is beside is coing also hot, I changed it but the issue is the same. Can you Help please? I am writing from Germany, here is no company who repairs old stuff like this. What could be wrong? I had changed all cathalitic capacitors. thanks a lot Joseph
@@andrev9999 hello again, I read the entire instructions- very helpful. Capacitors, are there a positive and negative terminals? If so how to identify them? Thanks

Hello change all capacitors is good idea. If not working you must change diode and repair damaged lines like in the video.
What is the name of the long one that looks like a cylinder you soldered? Also is that alcohol you used before u start soldering?
I use alcohol for cleaning but before soledering use flux for soldering. What do you mean cylinder? Please give a time on video
@@andrev9999 capacitor, that is the name I was looking for. I will need to solder mine this weekend. Your video helps a lot. Thank you
would you be so kind to provide the bill of materials list for repair?

@ They are clearly marked on the board and on the side of the capacitor.
Bro, I would love for you to fix my climate control, looks like you could do this for fun.
