@@RedBRZ23 dude these bulbs I have are the shatterproof plastic ones. 60 watt and VERY bright. So when im under the car I can roll the light around and not worry about it breaking....which could have happened many times 😂😂
Out of all the shift knobs I've tried (I've tried quite a few) the STI shift knob is my favorite. The perforated leather feels nice, and there's a ring of crosshatched etching on the metal at the bottom of the knob and it gives some good grip. I think it's slightly weighted, too. It's expensive, but not too crazy like some of the aftermarket knobs that I've tried (looking at you raceseng)
Yea idk how I'm going to feel about the smooth shifter long term. Right now I like the weight, I like the shape. When it's extremely cold tho this thing will be ice. In the summer this will be fire. So we shall see. Thankfully I have a garage.
@@HeavyMetalWRX yup I had the Billetworkz weighted shift knob but In winter where I live it gets down to -25 Celsius. The knob never warms up. I switched to a Cobb shift knob which I really like, warms up quick. #Cobbknob lol
My reverse lockout is slightly moving up after doing it too but I have the STI STS installed so it had no plastic tabs to trim from hitting the super stops so I’m not quite sure what to even do honestly to adjust it. It’s super minimal but I don’t want some lockout issue later on from repeated hitting
That's very interesting! Ive installed 2 of these and neither time did I notice an issue with reverse. It's something they do mention but I my case I had an issue with going into 2. It wasn't bad enough to be an issue though. I'll keep my ears open in case anyone else mentions it. Thanks for sharing!
@@HeavyMetalWRX sorry I guess I worded that wrong, same thing when I hit 2nd and 4th gear it’s popping up same as you here, just doesn’t make sense why since there’s no tabs it should be hitting on the STi STS didn’t need to cut anything, same as you. I rest my fingers between shift knob and lockout so I feel everytime I throw downwards that it moves up and pinches my fingers a tiny bit
Can you do some timed acceleration tests. I think the best metric is 40-80. All cars are in second gear with 1 shift with very little driver variation. Ironically it is almost always 10% slower than 0-60. I use race logic light on my phone. Its free, accurate and picks up satellites easily. Keep doing what you are doing, it is a great road map for all of us.
Hey! Yes now that I recall you did. Unfortunately I think at this time we don't really have a lot of options. I believe the JB4 can be made to work with the CVT. Cobb isn't compatible as of yet but hopefully it won't be long. You can still install the ETS intake for some whoosh noises and throw on a catback.
@@scottleggiadro5026 yea I've been trying to put that together for some time. It's just been difficult finding WRX's in my area. It seems the many I have seen can't be found on any Facebook group or reddit anywhere.

I just removed my perrin super shift stop yesterday. I could never get it to shift into second or third under power. You can see on my red pieces (aren't adjustable front and back) where the shifter hits it. I trimmed per instructions.

These things come down to personal preference. I really thought i was going to feel the weight more but I find it to not be so bothersome. It's the smoothness I'm not 100% sure about it. It doesn't feel bad at all, I just think maybe having some roughness would make it feel better.
@@HeavyMetalWRX I keep watching videos on how it's done, and it's making me want it less and less just because of how many steps there are, so many little things to take off.
