Did you know that there's two access plugs/holes on the steel cover panel so you can attach (or detach) the window regulator from the window without taking off that panel? So near the end of your video where you're having a hard time lining up those four bolts that attach the window regulator to the panel, you don't have to go through all that. You attach the regulator to the panel first, and then put the panel on the door, and then use those two access holes to access the regulator/glass attach points, and re-attach the glass to the regulator like that. Just an FYI.

+John McLaughlin We appreciate the feedback. Sometimes there are multiple ways to accomplish the same repair.

@@1AAuto Yes, almost always. Some are easy and straightforward, and others are much more cumbersome and difficult.

Thank you for your comment. I'm installing a rt ft door glass in a local kids 07 Altima tomorrow morning. Helping him out no charge. I couldn't find a video for door glass installation so am watching next best thing, the regulator. Very happy you mentioned those glass mount access holes.taking that panel off looked like that part of the job that can cost precious time. And be a P.I.A...Again I thank you very much.your comment I is as valuable as this video

@@tomlynaghsr8752 Great to hear. I was happy to find those access holes as well. Some videos on this subject show them, others, like this one, don't. I used a flat head screwdriver to get a grab under the tape that covers them. I think you'll still be removing that panel and the regulator though. I don't think the glass will come out any other way. It's easy enough though. Detach the glass using the access holes, raise the glass by hand and tape it up, remove the panel with the regulator still attached to it. Then you'll be able to remove the glass and put a new window in.

DON'T do it like that! 8 out of 10 times you will damage the regulator by allowing the cable to come off the spool! Assemble all the regulator, including the motor onto the door bracket first. Tape the window in the up position. Install the reg/bracket assembly. Position the window mount brackets so they can be accessed through the service holes. (2 holes,
usually covered with a thin foam pad, 2-3") Lower the window onto them, then install the 2 attachment bolts. the way shown in the video is WAY to complicated!!
