No worries- no urine in that batch :) But was surprised it was full! Figured out what I did with the water system after the taping. Take care my friend.
@@CarolinaCampervan hehe oh thank goodness! Great videos and looks like a great van to have with a family. The U.S. market has been in sore need of this type of Euro campervan that are plentiful over there but not available stateside. Enjoyed your video review, thanks and enjoy your travels!
Great video! We're picking up our 59P National Park Edition in a couple of weeks, and we are wondering if the folding bikes will fit under the bed. What is the height under the bed? Thank you!!
That is great, you are going to love it. I would check the size on the Winnebago website as they would be the most accurate, but we have hauled tons under the bed, foldable scooters, modular kayaks, etc.
Awesome review thank you. My only cons is the need for propane, no generator and batteries are on the outside. I'm still leaning towards the Solis 59p vs the Revel 4x4 for my family of 4 and 2 kids who race motocross.
Thanks! If you’re looking for a generator, the 59 PX has generator and an additional 18” of cargo space in the back to go along with everything the 59 P has. Might be a good option if the have a bunch of motocross gear as well. Thanks again! 😀
@@CarolinaCampervan thanks for the response. Yes I watched quite a few comparison videos of the 59p and the PX. Does the 59p have an inverter, I.e. could I charge a kids electric motocross bike that is peak 900 watts input to charge? I saw some other 59px owners using the 12 volt to charge their Jackery portable batteries vs the 110 volt plug due to a lack of an inverter.
@@BWT599 Sure thing. There is no inverter on the 59 P. I use my goal zero yeti 500x to charge my AC stuff. The DC outlets and usb outlets will charge of the batteries, but the AC outlets work only if you are plugged into shore power like at a campground. Thanks!
I am curious about the storage- where do your kids put their things? Also on the beds- can you leave them made with sheets or does everyone sleep in sleeping bags?
Hi Lena, Thanks for your message! We have lots of packing tubes, something like this: amzn.to/3xKk3Ki And there is plenty of storage, especially with the murphy bed option. You can leave the beds down or pull up the murphy bed for more storage. We mainly keep it down. We use a sheet and a comforter. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any additional questions. Thanks!
As a new Solis 59P owner myself, one word of warning is be super careful putting down the pop top! Apparently some fabric got caught when putting it down, which led to a rain leak inside the van. It left a permanently deformed rubber gasket and left an opening for a bunch of rainwater to come in and now I'm in the process of having a service center order a new gasket from Winnebago.
Thanks for the heads up and sorry for your troubles. We always try to ensure the fabric is tucked in by pulling the red tabs in as the pop top is lowered. Thanks again for the comment and take care.
Thanks Bob! Yes you can use the pop top while it's raining. It's made out of a pretty heavy duty canvas. Thank being said, I have not tried during a super heavy rain. Just make sure the windows are zipped up. As far as navigation, it does not have a built in navigation. We just bought an iPhone holder, mounted it to the dash and use the built in map features on the phone. It works great! I hope this helps and thanks for the comments, Jason!
We’re considering a red 59p and also live in the south but concerned that dark color might make it much hotter than a silver or white one. What’s your experience in summer camping in the Carolinas?
I'm sure the darker color can make it a few degrees warmer in the summer, but my white work truck feels just as hot during the summer day. Obviously, the evenings/night won't be any warmer with a light or darker color van. We've kind of ruled out camping in July/August in the van unless we travel to the upstate away from the coast as it seems to be much cooler in the evenings as the elevation increases. We are also considering a portable a/c that we can plug up to shore power at state parks during July/August. Overall, I honestly wouldn't change a thing! I love the size of the 59p and winnebago did a great job designing the van! Thanks for the comment and let me know if you have any more question. Take care, Jason!
@@CarolinaCampervan Thanks so much Jason. We’re also planning a trip to Utah so we’d love to hear about how you fared without ac in the desert. We love the mountains so that’s where we’d be midsummer too.
@@bryantoney We went to Utah in April and there were a few hot days, but then the nights were awesome! We visited Canyonlands, Arches, Valley of the Gods, Blanding (where a bunch of ancient ruins are), and some other spots. If you have time check out Colorado National Monument and The Black Canyon of the Gunnison. They are in Colorado, but the views and hikes are killer! There is also a bunch of BLM land that you can camp for free. We split it up between free camping and paid camping in the parks. The Needles Outpost for camping is cool and it's a mile from the Needles district in Canyonlands. There's a general store, showers, and the views are pretty sweet. Again, if you need specifics on places we went, I'll be happy to help. You can shoot me an email at Carolina.campervan@gmail.com and I'll see what I can send you. Thanks for the comment! Ours is a 2021 and does not have these features. I’m not sure about the 2022 promasters. You really have to rely on the side mirrors when driving. Have fun shopping around!
Do the front cab windows open? Also, is there ac in the front cab area? Otherwise, with side slide windows and no awning, how do you get ventilation on hot, rainy days/nights?
There's a max aire fan located in the back of the van that can be used when it is raining. We also have rain guards on the front cab windows that we can vent that helps with circulation. The 59PX has a built in ac unit so that may be a better fit if you like it nice and chilly. Thanks for the question and have a nice day, Jason!
The specs say 8'11" clearance. I'm not sure what the garage parking standards are. Most drive-thrus are around 9' so it will be tight on those visits. I would consider it a daily driver if I didn't have a company truck, but there will be areas where it will not fit. So depending on where you will predominantly driving will definitely determine if it is a daily driver for you. I hope this helps...take care, Jason!
Thanks Jinqu! The MSRP on the Solis 59P is around $109k. The dealer had it listed for $99.5k. I saw one in Ohio for $79.5k. So I asked the dealer if they would match and they did. Thanks again and take care, Jason!
@@daebak_hana I didn’t known either until I saw the one in Ohio for that price. I’m sure it depends on the market in your area, but all you can do is ask! 😀 I would ask a few dealers for quotes even some out of your area. We flew to Tennessee and drove back home. Good luck and have a good day!
Great video, I’m trying to see if ones right for us so real world reviews are greatly appreciated. Does the cab windows have coverings or do you need to make or buy some for the doors up front and the windshield?
Hey Dave, thanks for the question. I'm right at 6 ft tall. I usually just sit on the cassette toilet when I shower inside to minimize the amount of water splashing around. But I can stand straight up within the shower enclosure. It's tight, but totally manageable. Thanks again and take care, Jason!
