Charging at higher battery charge percentage uses more power. I suggest using the powerbank to charge the laptop when the laptop battery is at about 25% to and disconnecting the powerbank when laptop battery is at 60%.

My power cable is circular and I don't see this working without an adapter of some kind.
You guys have to make sure that your laptop supports thunderbolt 3. There's usually a thunder logo beside the usb c port, and that means that it supports thunderbolt 3. If it's just a normal usb logo then it can only be an outgoing data port.

@@dynamicthunda5010 That means you can use a type c cable if you use it with a type C to USB A adapter. Just look for the thunder logo. If you have it, that means your laptop supports thunderbolt.

@@Kopie0830 I don't even know if you can do that to laptops in general. All I know is that if your laptop supports thunderbolt then you can use an eGPU on it.

Sadly I can only charge my powerbank with my laptop but not the actual laptop because it has no type c but instead a barrel type charger (typical) maybe there's a converter online but otherwise I cant big oof.
does it matter which way the wire connects to the laptop? When i put the USB-C tip into the laptop and connect the "big" USB tip into the powerbank, the battery power % reading on the powerbank goes blank, but when do it vice versa (USB-C tip into powerbank), the battery power reading starts flashing on whatever % it's on. This is all whilst the mains power connection to the laptop is turned off.
Hey, you can also charge the laptop from a normal powerbank of 10 watt(5v,2A) with a step up module.

@@thingsbytayyebah6847 Take the male USB port of a USB cable and a step up module then solder the +ve and -ve wires of the cable to the volt in points of the step up module and then solder the DC jack pin of laptop charger to the volt out points of the step up module. Now, plug the USB male port to the powerbank and adjust the voltage output of step up module to 19.5 volts and plug the DC male jack into the laptop. You are all done👍👍👍👍👍.

I've done this but apparently it doesn't work; the nominal wattage of the powerbank is not able to charge the laptop so it turns off to protect itself. Not worked even with the laptop turned off. Could you made it work? I think the only solution it's having a power delivery power bank with a wattage as close to the nominal wattage of the laptop charger (I've only seen 18w, 30w such as the one in the video which is expensive)

Some laptop notebook computer has the USB C port. So they can be charged or powered by external power bank with a certain watts rating and at least 10,000 or 20,000 maH.
This is a honest question: are you saying that USB-C ports allow not only INCOMING/OUTCOMING DATA but also INCOMING POWER?!? Because my Acer Aspire 5 has 1 USB-C port and it would be GENIOUS if I could bring along a 20k-30k maH powerbank to charge it. =)
Awww.... but I just saw the guy on the video pluging the powerbank in what seems to be the normal charger port. So I guess it's not ANY USB-C port that can charge a laptop. =/
Check your included power adaptor cable plug for the laptop does it plug into the USB-c port during powering or charging? That is there are not other power input port like the pin types normal laptops use. If there are not other charging connection and the power adaptor plugs into the laptop C-power for power up and charging then a portable powerbank of higher maH can be used to charge or power the laptop on the go. Anyway only selected models of laptops have this function, and they usually cost more. Other normal netbooks or laptops do not have this function.
@@AceNachos maybe he had a weaker power bank maybe? There's ton of misinformation it does able to take charge BUT most of time they take 40w not below it. For example

If 100% efficient and at full rating that 26800mAH powerbank would charge my laptop (68Wh) almost twice. I would be happy if I got one charge out of it though.

MauriceNL have you tried charging when the power is off? Some companies block charging when the laptop or screen is on. You can try leaving it on charge for 10 mins then check back and see what it’s on
