- I fired up the VHS digitizing setup and started back up on Chris Eng's tapes this week. There is about 2min of an unknown band to start this tape (forgot to trim)- if anyone knows who it is, let me know.
Then, the legendary Slambodians. I think this is the first demo lineup of Eric Johnson/Wayne Park/James Pittman/Aaron Crozier/Chris Giese, but not 100% sure. East bay crossover/thrash metal- the band played quite a few shows in the late 80s.

All I know is we were banned from Gilman Street after this one, at least for a while, lol. Man I miss those days!!! Anyone know what happened to Giese? Side note, I went to the Punk Rock Museum in Vegas this past weekend. WOW. They have the back door of Gilman Street hanging on the wall, along with a ton of other cool East Bay Punk memorabilia. You have to go check it out, it is worth the trip to Vegas just by itself. Thanks to my son for showing me this link!
Hmm, I don't see any other band in this video. It starts out with the same band, the only difference is, the sound at the beginning up until 1:23 is clearly from the board and then eventually transitions into, what sounds more like the camera mic from there. But again, there's definitely no other band shown in the video, that's for sure. Unless of course, you ended up trimming it after writing the description?!
Slambodians sound check is best guess.
@@philswanson5429 Yeah, most likely, seeing as right after that first minute or so of them playing, that dude then gets up and officially introduces em'.
Yeah, it was confusing.
