- There could be several issues on why your mic isn't working and here are a list of solution that you may try and see if any of these works.
1.Ensure the source volume is not set to zero.
2.Ensure you have selected the correct input device, if your mic isn't detected then follow the video to uninstall the driver and software.
3. If the audio driver on your PC is outdated or gets corrupted, you may encounter the Razer BlackShark V2 mic not working issue. To keep your gaming headset always in its tip-top condition, you can try updating the audio driver.
5. Make sure in system settings the mic input volume is up to 100%
6. Right-click on the volume icon and click “Troubleshoot sound problems” to start and follow the troubleshooter recommendations
7. Use a splitter if your laptop supports it.

Hey guys, sorry about the background music as I had to replace it with youtube's music itself due to copyright which sucks. I was pretty sure it was a non-copyrighted music that I used but a few months later, I had a notifcation stating it's copyrighted now. This is the lowest level I could set the background music to via RUclips. Do let me know If you're still facing problems with the mic and If You wish for another video to be made that'll cover everything. The Razer Blackshark V2 X Headset is One the best budget Headset there is in the market and I'm still using it till this day! You guys stay awesome and have a great day!

Совершенно никаких проблем! Я тоже сталкивался с той же проблемой раньше, когда пытался подключить наушники к мобильному телефону. Иногда соединение между разъемом ненадежное, поэтому вы можете сначала попытаться подключить его к другому устройству, а затем повторить попытку на своем телефоне. @@Calvin_M. Yeah, I uninstalled the app and just didn't bother downloading it again. It works for me, you might have to remove the driver and reinstall it I think

@@blablambamabam6260 the headset was fine, it worked with another laptop, but there is some compatibility problem with audio drivers. Nothing worked, so I returned them.
For me, the Razer Synapse wasn't updating properly and it was conflicting with the mic from working.
Just try to uninstalling Razer Synapse, redownload it and see if that helps
Is there possible way to make the microphone less sentitive, because like the razer synapse 3 doesn't detect the razer blackshark v2x so you can't modify microphone settings

Thank you!! I've gone through so many solutions with reinstalling my realtek, enabling my mic devices, and even buying an adaptor. This is the only one that worked. I can finally game in peace in and not regret my purchase. (Blackshark V2 X)

That is one case, yet I just noticed that there is a mic mute button behind the sound knob. click it to enable and disable your mic
my stuff is messed up now and the mic thing didnt work help and its not the jack thing i checked a few times
I just got a wireless blackshark v2 pro and anytime I plug in the microphone the audio turns off and never comes back unless I unplug the microphone. Anyone have a fix for this??

it worked for me, my prob was the mic vol was to low and nothing could fix it, my headset is blackshark v2 with that usb soundcard, this video fixed my low mic, thanks.

I just got the solution. I have Windows 11, maybe it's similar in Windows 10. What you have to do to make it work perfectly on PC is to enter "Realtek Audio Console" within which they go to "advanced device settings" and select "reprogramming the connector" the "headphones with microphone" option, there they test the sound of the microphone again and they will see that it will sound exquisite even with nearby noise cancellation. Have you checked if it's been working on other devices and that it's not muted? Try using your phone and see if you're able to record a voice of your clip. if it doesn't work on any other device then perhaps the mic replacement you got is either loose or your headset doesn't detect it. I don't have the pro version so but I do know it has a detachable mic. let me know! :)

I use blackshark v2 just not the x version, uninstalling the synapse software did the trick
Bro on my pc, either i plug Headphones or not it shows as Speakers C media, but when plugged in it plays audio in headphones but mic doesn't work and if i go and check in control panel's sound settings and turn recording on of Speakers media C it randomly starts echoing and my speakers go crazy, what is happening is my pc doesn't detect these headphones but still plays audio in it and for mic it uses pc's mic and starts to echo (taking input from mic and outputs via speaker) this is going crazy!

Me too. On laptop, using 1 combined jack, it would not show microphone, but I fixed it by installing all optional windows updates (around 11 of them). It still doesn't show new microphone but it "overrides" the original one (Microphone Array Realtek).
On PC, using both jacks, I had no problem.

Oh darn, that happened to me once. Try this go to device manager then click on sound, video and game controllers and then Realtek (R) audio, right click, update driver or scan for missing hardware.

Bought two for my sons. First microphone stopped working after 2 weeks. Other one just stopped after a month. No misuse. Mainly used on xbox and ps4 respectively. Not being picked up on any device including laptop

Oh, So sorry for the late reply, been having a hectic schedule! When you go onto Device Manager > Audio Inputs and outputs you're unable to find for the microphone? Have you been able to Scan for hardware changes? as it would automatically detect what's missing and restore the device.

Oh, voice chat like through discord? I think there's a loose connection with the cable that's not picking up your mic sound. Have you tried recording your voice via your phone?

Hi there are few ways to fix this, first reinstall microphone drivers and if it still doesn't show up then it's either faulty or a outdated drive. another way to fix it is from manually downloading the driver or the last option is to activate the microphone from Control Panel. To do this, go to control panel and then Click on Sound and then go to the Recording tab. then Right-click on the window and click on Show Disabled Devices. If your microphone is not showing up in Device Manager, it might be because it was mistakenly disabled. Hope this tries to fix your issue!

Hi sorry about that, don't install any app. Just refresh the mic driver only so that your computer brings it back up. The razer app usually messes up the mic.

Is it like a white noise or buzzing? Try turning down the volume from the knob on your headset itself and keep it between 50-70% or else try to mess with the volume mixer to see if it helps. If it doesn't then I'm afraid you'll have to return your pair and get a new one replaced.

You can download the software again if you want or just tweak the settings through your PC. I'm not using the software tho cuz it usually messes up.
It was working perfectly fine for me and I tried to do something I’m device manager bc it wasn’t working for a game, and clicked update drivers on it restarted my pc and now it isn’t even appearing on device manager and idk what to do

smh it only has my old headphones on this pc not my new headphone's mic, it doesnt even allow it to turn on or anything
For me my pc will not recognize that the headset has a mic. It even asks me when i first plug it in if it is a headset or headphones i pick headset then it comes up in device manager as headphones. Never recognizes the mic. I have no idea what is going on
Have you been able to test it out with your phone? Try recording something with your phone using the headsets mic. If it's not working there too then the mic is faulty! but it is working on other devices then this could simply be an issue with the software. When you plug in your headset do you get the option to select only the microphone? I'd recommend updating your audio drivers also.
Step-1 : Run the Audio Troubleshooter
Step-2 : Set your Razer Headset as the Default Device
Step-3 : Upgrade the Sound Drivers
Step-4 : Update the Firmware
Step-5 : Uninstall All Razer-related Softwares
Then what you wanna do is Right-click on the “sound” icon present at your taskbar and select “Properties”.
Now, choose the “recording” tab. Here, select Razer device you are using from the list of options, right-click it and set it as the default device.
Then, disable all the other microphones from your computer because sometimes if you're using a laptop it could detect the laptop's mic and get mixed up in between. Then press Apply to save changes.
right-click on the microphone and select “Properties”.
Navigate to the Advanced tab and select the lowest default format available. It will probably be “2 channel, 16 bit, 44100 Hz (CD Quality)”.
Once all the changes are done, restart your computer, reconnect the headsets and check if the problem is resolved.

@@papishmeef4609 So it turns out it wasn't the head phones fault but the computers. The head set uses a 4 pin audio jack but my pc has a 3 pin audio jack. That's why nothing was being picked up.

Im using a Blackshark V2 X and when I look through all my microphones there is only one: the built in one on my laptop. It is the only one available and no matter how hard I try, I can't get my headset microphone to show up. Can anyone help me?

I solved it by installing ALL optional updates on my windows. This is the only thing that helped me.

Hi, yes when you uninstall the microphone driver, right click again and scan for driver changes and it will automatically be installed again. You can try saving a restore point on your computer before making any changes just Incase you wish to revert back :)
I'm having issues with my Razer Blackshark V2 X. Apparently, my laptop can't recognize the microphone on my headset but instead, it uses the built-in microphone on my laptop. I already fixed this before but now I can't find the solution. I also tried plugging it in my phone and the microphone works as intended. Even the mute button works properly.

update: I removed all the other software except the Realtek Audio, which came with the laptop and it works great. Also, set it as a headset instead of headphones.

Noo don't give up! Once you get it fixed, don't change any settings and you should be good! I'm using the v2 x for 5 months now and the quality of the mic is really great for the budget! I use it on all the videos I have a commentary on and it's great when talking to your friends too!

I am having this issue on my android phone. My phone has only one socket and I put the jack which is for devices that has only one socket but it doesn't pick my voice.
You need an extention cable with m/f sockets, usually you would get it in the box too

My wife has the white wired Blackshark V2 X headset. It came with a 3.5mm audio jack for input and output. When enabled, the best I can hear on my end is some random audio pops, like it's peaking at random times, but nothing remotely close to anything resembling voice. Have tried checking for updated drivers and tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Sadly, not getting any results.
That could be something with the audio jack. Have you tried twisting it around while playing some audio? some laptops/ computers have a loose slot.
@@CyberExodus We got it figured out, it was indeed a faulty audio jack. We plugged it into the inputs on the back of the tower and it works just fine.
I also have the white one, do you think I have to buy another spitter? I'm using it to my Computer.

It fixed my mic but now my headset volume is going through my pc speaker and not my headset, it just switched around
Have you checked whether the audio output is selected to your headset ? When you plug it in as well, have it selected to the headset, if not try reinstalling the software once more and give your PC a restart, see if it helps! :)

Check your internet speed. Test your internet speed to make sure you have a quality connection. If your internet is slow and you can't speed it up, use the Xbox app on your smartphone. That way, you can communicate with other players using your cellular plan. You can also use the Xbox app to voice chat with your Apple AirPods on Xbox One. This method isn't recommended for people with data caps.
Option 15
Ditch the surge protector. Xbox One consoles have built-in surge protection. Using an additional surge protector with an Xbox One can prevent the console from working correctly.
