Well if you ever watches any of the movies, the Chinese voice actor has Wukong’s voice perfectly. Right down to thst lil grinning chuckle. The English voiceover is just rubbish lol.

I perfer eng because i have hard time reading subtitle. Its so small and i lost most of my eye sight. I already missing alot , i dont want to miss even more leaning toward screen struggling to read subtitle. Also i have absolutely no understanding of chinese. So if i choose eng, i dont need to read subtitle. Or else, i would choose chinese. Its shame but it cant be helped. Eng dub is well don, thanks for that so i am not missing alot by not playing in chinese.

英文版本悟空说话的气声太多 而且语气也有点怪 没了那种在冷静下的喷怒又预料到所有的通透，可能英文版太努力塑造孙悟空的语气而导致过于勉强。

The English version sounded really cool and worthy of a movie. Now I discovered the Chinese version, I almost felt emotional. Wukong is the symbol of freedom, leadership and loyalty, the values that we need in current Chinese society.

I'm a staunch believer of "No Dubs Supremacy" for any media created outside any english speaking countries. Only use dubs when there is no subtitles for the media that i want to watch. It doesn't matter how good the dub VA is, dubs can't perfectly captured the nuance and emotion a character want to conveyed.

It sounds so good and if I watch shows I always watch with original audio but in games I struggle to pay attention to the subtitles. My next playthough I will play with Chinese audio

i think the chinese one has a more playful tone to it, just like the wukong series i've watched from my childhood. And i think it also has some accent to it.

i think both sound great the English one was done really well for the most part and i have always hated people that compare them, both are official and i think people should play it how they like and that this comparison stuff in all things shouldn't exist.

Aii i love anime and i do believe sub is better than dub to the point where i keep sub titles on everything even shows like family guy, BUT ANYTHING IN CHINESE SUB JUST SOUNDS WAY TOO FUNNY. I literally dont know a single person in my whole friend group that wouldn’t laugh hearing real chinese. Im sorry but u didn’t cook with this one english is 10x better

i have been thinking for like 4 days, if you can understand Chinese, you should be playing in Chinese, the sentences hit so much harder, I have English Subs on and most part doesn't manage to translate the real meaning of those dialog. Not to mention, Zhu Ba Jie (Piggy) sentences are quite funny, he even calling out that little Buddha's Granny at chapter 3 after we pray those 4 Buddha's statues or when you suddenly move after he started his story telling from your long time afk, he will stop his story and said something like the way you disrespect people are the same as senior (Wu Kong) In the beginning, Wu Kong sound doesn't match him at all in English (or maybe because my brain can't get used to Wu Kong using English) He was saying, 我不懂的是。。。你“他娘”的杀我猴子猴孙 (In English is like, What I don't understand is... You MF killing my Kin!) 他 translated into You 娘 translated into Mother When you put those together (or any family member) It's an very ill-manner/Insulting way to calling out someone/group But as a Chinese translator (not into English tho) I understand It's impossible to bring out the deep meanings of every words and phrases, especially when the Mandarin they are using are like traditional Chinese's Opera style Mandarin But I got to mention again, It's really a shame that people can't understand Zhu Ba Jie Chinese dub, It's really funny for real

As a chinese myself, I know its very difficult to translate the full meaning into English. Mandarin sentences are word compressed with lots of meaning and depth, its a far more efficient and complex language compare to English in my opinion. Wukong's English dub is very watered down unfortunately.

As an American person, i need to see the boss and not the subtitles.

I haven't played either. Based on the impression of the video, I feel that the first version is more engaging, cinematic and visually impactful, with its slow motion and frightening atmosphere in a confined space, despite the lower graphic quality. The second version feels like a tower defense game set in a large open area, creating a detached feeling from the hero. The massive enemies become repetitive, conveying the impression that the only thing the player can do is keep pressing one button for survival. There's too much blood to even distinguish the hero from the foes.
