I had no idea this was how this show ended. Rob trying to evacuate everyone into a different show is insane enough on its own, but the foreshadowing of Barbara saying "There is no future" after painting the final frame of the show... that shit's actually kind of chilling.
They ARE working on the movie, so we'll probably get a Rob story conclusion there... Long as it doesn't get cancelled because of CN/Warner Bros/HBO Max sucks...
The Gumball writers are masters of the craft. They managed to create multiple story arcs based on dumb jokes they made in the earliest episodes that the viewers can easily overlook and converged them into a weirdly gripping final few episodes.
Same! Rob is one of my favorite characters in the show, every episode with him is great! Of course he's not my only favorite in this show though, Larry is one of the most relatable so he's one of my favorites too.
The episode where Rob has the remote and change the language to cantonese, genuinely made me shock and happy. Not only is it accurate, but never in a million years, I hear cantonese in american tv

He makes such a natural, incidental villain in a series where everyone is already unnatural.
