Gumball has always been unhinged but it's weird sense of humor, perfect way of poking fun and it's use of mediums other than 2d animation really made it a timeless show.
tbh gumball getting weirder is just something that's fated to happen over the course of history. Every time I revisit it, something happens that ends with me spitting out whatever I'm drinking

I feel like you should watch bluey or waffle doggy. Bluey is basically a younger version of gumball but waffle doggy is a TV programme for toddlers about a talking dog. The acting in it is so terrible to the point it's actually funny
