Slightly off-topic, but I always carry a small plastic grocery bag in my handbag. It squashes down to nothing, and is so handy when you get caught in a sudden rain shower. An instant waterproof holder for something that needs it (e.g. baked goods in a paper bag; personal experience). Also a great idea for outings with small kids, so that you can carry home the “treasures” they find.
I use zip top bags to organize my hand bag. The snack size works well for my phone charger and cord and bigger sizes work for other items. I also use them when I travel to organize my suitcase.
For a simple handbag organizer, I’ve used inexpensive makeup bags from the local drugstore ( the kind that also sells makeup, computers, and greeting cards, etc.). Different sizes, different colours, easily washed, and inexpensive to replace.
Great tips and boy are they handy. That blouse you have on is really nice it brings out the blue in your eyes and the orange color in the pattern is a perfect complimentary color to the blue.
Great hacks. Got a handbag organizer from The Container Store about 5 years ago and don’t know how I ever lived without one. Makes switching purses so easy. Also, loved your blouse
I have a tip for changing handbags. I use ziplocks. One for keys and one for makeup and put them in a bigger one or two gallon depending on bag size. It’s clear so it’s easy to see through and when it gets messy just change them inexpensively. So easy to change bags now! ❤️
Shoe hack that my mother-in-law taught me: Use clip-on ear rings that are medium to large size. I have used this hack for years to jazz up my simple style shoes.
That’s an idea that I’ve tried too. And for a bit more “glam,” I’ve seen clip-on earrings in thrift stores or consignment shops that are perfect. Quite often they have been donated by families doing a downsizing or decluttering of an elderly family member’s home. There are some real gems (pun intended) that date back to the 1950s and ‘60s. “Everything that’s old is new again.”.
When putting garments over my head, I use a cheap shower cap that I get in hotel rooms. I place it on my face and hair, and the garment slides easily over without getting my hair messed or smearing makeup. I keep one in the bathroom and one in my closet. It's so easy to pack in my makeup kit when traveling.
Great tips. I’m a non-drinker and the smell of drinking alcohol (ethanol) makes me feel sick, so I use rubbing alcohol (isopropyl) instead, it works great! In a solution of alcohol:water 1:1.
I LOVE the idea on how to extend the jeans to fit when they are too tight. I think I get bloated in the afternoon or sometimes after a night of special food I am not as slender as I would like LOL! Great tip!
I love the idea of a handbag organiser but have never managed to find one that successfully transfers from one bag to another because of the different sizes
I love the organizers have 3 sizes sm/ md/ lg. makes swapping bags so easy and no more digging for all my stuff...will try the jeans in freezer great ideas. Thank you Beth .loving your blouse .
Fantastic tips and apreciate them all. My best securing the elastic on jeans or other pants a little too tight. Went out and bought a packet today - it really works. Thank u Beth
I also have a fan running in my laundry room most of the time because that’s how I dry most of my clothes, instead of with my tumble dryer. After wearing a coat or jacket, I hang it up in front of the fan overnight and the odors are gone by morning.
My mother told me the same scarf trick. It must have been a thing in the 50's and 60's when women wore more makeup and had "coiffures". It's especially good if you're wearing white. Hello brides out there! All the tips were great, thanks Beth!
Great hacks. The scarf bring back memories when I worked in a small ladies shop. We would ask the customers to use scarf to reduce those make up stains. Had forgotten about it 😁❤
Great tips! I used #1 during first trimester of both my pregnancies! Also, if you have a sweater that sheds, try putting in the freezer for an hour or so and that stops the shedding. Anyway, thanks as always for the info! 💛
I have my work bag which has Everything in it, and smaller weekend purses. On my weekend I just transfer what few things I need for the day to which ever purse goes with my outfit and leave the bulk of stuff in my work bag
I love it the babushka trick over the head, done it many times. I also use velvet hangers. But the vodka water spray and the bag in the freezer are both new to me. Great gems thank you. Love the colors in your shirt, very feminin as well. Just subscribed a few videos ago, trying to get caught up.
I'd never heard of using voda and water to remove odors or of putting jeans in a plastic bag over night to remove odors. Thanks for a couple new hacks!
Thank you Beth for all the styles hack 👍 Really appreciate that! Will definately show my close friend on the scarf hack😊 as she always leave lipstick mark on her t-shirt 🤭
How cool! I've been following you for quite some time & enjoy your expertise. Question: Where did you get your watchband for your Apple watch? I can't seem to find one like it. :)
Hi Beth! I am Patty Sandoval. As always, you gave us awesome advices for daily life! The hak #2 gave an idea! I will add 1-2 drops of my favorite doTERRA essential oils to the garment spray! Thanks! Also, where can I got the departments baggie for our purses?
I wash my jeans in cold water with detergent about every three wearings. I have jeans that are 15 years old and they're just fine. How are you washing jeans that they break down so soon?
they are very well made jeans. but i don't like to wash them every week. and, yes, each time you wash anything in any temperature the fibers begin to break down.
Canvas tote bags are apparently the most popular bag in Paris right now for women and men, too, so I tried one. I found it really irritating because my keys, lipstick, etc., kept going to the very bottom and I had to unload the larger things like my wallet to retrieve them. Then, I found the Bag in a Bag purse insert on Amazon, which neatly solved the problem. Unlike other brands, this is nylon, so it’s wipe-clean and super lightweight, is inexpensive (the small size I got was $13 US) and has tons of pockets and dividers, I love it. I removed the detachable elasticized key ring because I don’t use them, but it is a nice feature for those that do, and is also lightweight.
I'm so glad I found you--I like your style, your tips (what does Oscar think when you hide your head under that scarf?), and your joie de vivre. Thanks!

For anyone considering a purse organizer I strongly recommend a light color you can see your items better.
thanks for sharing!
Absolutely. I had a black one and couldn’t see anything
Loved all these tips, especially the one that extends your waistband an inch. We all need that help more than once a year!
So true!
I use zip top bags to organize my hand bag. The snack size works well for my phone charger and cord and bigger sizes work for other items. I also use them when I travel to organize my suitcase.
That's a great idea!
I remember years ago using clip on earrings as shoe clips on a pair of plain pumps.
I did the same on my wedding shoes!
I use small zip pouches to organize my purses. They transfer quickly to any size bag.
Great tip!
I have used that scarf tip for years and always take a scarf when I go shopping to protect the clothing in try ons. Good vid
Yes! Thank you!

Great tips and boy are they handy. That blouse you have on is really nice it brings out the blue in your eyes and the orange color in the pattern is a perfect complimentary color to the blue.

Great ideas with handbags to put things in zip logs etc. Added advantage is that the inside of my expensive handbags clean and without scuffs

i rarely put anything in the dryer. heat is not your friend when it comes to clothes.
NICE BLOUSE ! Also instead of using vodka could you use white spirit ??
Great hacks!
