In that case, you will be limited. My map 3 with just 93 octane fuel had lots of timing drops. Not too concerning but enough to make me uneasy. Map 2 on just 93 looked nice in my car. E85 helped a lot. Made map 3 very clean. So clean that I could push the turbo more which is what I did with map 6. You probably will be octane limited. What octane fuel do you have available?
Hey I have a g20 330i and was doing a couple of exterior modifications but now I really want to focus on performance. I’m stuck between jb4 and bootmod3, what made you go with jb4? I don’t have too much information on either one all I know is they both tune your car.
Heya. BM3 is a flash tune whereas JB4 is a piggyback. BM3 is the better choice if you aren't worried about losing warranty and want a smoother (OEM+ feel) car. Issue is your DME might be locked and it has to be bench unlocked for which you have to remove the DME and ship it. That's the only reason I haven't done a flash tune yet. My DME is locked and has to be physically sent out to be unlocked. The JB4 is much easier. You can also make a lot of power but you'll need to add E85 like I do for a fast car. So far, my warranty is intact but BMW will be able to find out that a piggyback was used if they dig deep enough (which they usually will not do unless you have a blown turbo or something). The JB4 also isn't as smooth as OEM (especially since I use E85 too which is known to make engines run rough). It isn't bad by any means. Just that you'll notice the roughness (which is due to ethanol and not JB4). JB4 also doesn't have full control of the DME like a flash tune does. But it's easy to install. You can install and uninstall whenever you want to. Both have their positives and negatives but yes. Ideally, a flash tune is the way to go.
This map was made for me by a couple of extremely knowledgeable friends. We analysed my map 3 log and worked up from there slowly, making sure timing and AFRs and stuff looked great. We stopped increasing the boost at the first sign of a timing drop. So far, map has been flawless for me. Logs look perfect. Car is at almost 50k miles and zero issues. In my car, I cannot run E30 because it throws up a drivetrain error. That's why I stay at ~E25.
Bro, can you share the map 6 configuration you had at that moment? I have access to 93 and E85 in my area.

How much did it cost to get this tune?
@@k.omoregbee6949 Its just a piggyback box. JB4. I bought it used in 2019. I don't remember how much I paid for it. I think $200?
Thanks for the video! What are the numbers (hp and Nm) with this stage 1?
I haven't dynod it but I'm guessing around 295whp/330wtq. That's using virtual dyno with stats entered as close to that day as possible.
I'm more about performance numbers than Dyno since personally I think an 800bhp car is useless if you can't put that down onto the road.
@@VeeElJay 13 sek are around 300 hp
I can't get e85 in this situation. How should I change the jb4 map6 setting?

Very surprised by your result. I have 330ix g20 stage 2 and 0-100 she goes 5.0 in your case 4.6
This was the best time in the winter. In the summer, right now (85-90°F), I get a 0-60 of 4.8s consistently.
Es un m340 no es el mismo tablero, yo tengo también un 330i
did u face any issues with the car
Absolutely no issues so far *touchwood* I look at logs every time. Looks healthy to date.
@@VeeElJay does anything happens with the mileage of the car?
what mods have you done to the car?
I only have a JB4 running a custom map 6 right now along with around 3 gallons E85 to help with timing. No other hardware or software mods.
Where can I find this map and is it better then map 4 or 5? And I have a b48 Is E20-E25 better then E30?
