Season three was when the writers stopped giving a shit about finding a big audience and decided to just entertain the people who loved Community to begin with. It was glorious.
@@michaelalanstlouis It's **very** faithful to a typical Law & Order episode, subtle things such as the same font when the meet Pierce, the fact the coroner was on L&O, the hotdog scene, how the episode transitions from Troy/Abed to Jeff/Annie when it switches from Law to Order halfway through. Heck even how Jeff/Annie act is similar to how the ADA McCoy and how his assistant operate. (With McCoy being the male leader of the duo, being the more cutthroat, compared to his assistant who's more compassionate. This episode is so good as both a community and L&O episode, it is simultaneously one of my favourite Community and L&O episode.
BrognusBelgen lmao don’t forget the typical first part where the people who coincidentally finds the *body* are innocent bystanders and the show always start with that
Greendale Community College is represented by two separate yet equally important types of people: the goofballs that run around stirring up trouble, and the eggheads that make a big deal out of it. These are their stories-
I never realized until now that this is the actually the Community theme in the Law & Order style. I just thought it was just the generic knockoff they do.
From Troy's cast photo onward, I crack up every time, especially Dean Pelton's photo lol Jeff and Abed look legit though. Good picture of Gillian Jacobs too
This episode is the best parody of anything that’s ever been parodied in the history of television
Literally 😂😂😂
YUP ITS SOOO WELL DONE
I agree. Spectacular!
I prefer the term homage
i have to agree with you on that, the amount of attention to detail put into this episode is just staggering

It was glorious.
the end of season 3 was when Dan Harmon got fired.
What's even funnier is that the network told Dan Harmon to tone down on the craziness and instead just cranked it up to 11 😂
Britta's part in this episode is soo funny 😂😂
The line "I transferred or 'downloaded' the image to my computer" cracks me up everytime.
Didn’t Britta only appear for like ten seconds? 😂
And with a few adjustments I can make this picture wild west color
AS A PSYCH MAJOR I CAN PR
DUN DUN
Troy's smile on the "walk out" scene at the end of the theme song........ROTFL!
All four of their 'walk-out' smiles nail each of their Law and Order characters. It's so brilliant.
As a huge law and order fan, i really appreciated some of the more subtle easter eggs and references in this episode
I'm familiar with L&A but have never watched it. What easter eggs and references?

...or that it's just the community theme with L&O style.

My favourite one :D
I have watched this too many times
I want a long version of the song
I thought they were straight up taking the Law and Order intro but now I just realized they mashed the community theme with the Law and Order intro
OMGGG
