    Why Magnesium?
Magnesium, the fourth most abundant mineral in the human body, plays a role in over 300 metabolic processes. It participates in the development and maintenance of bones and teeth; the metabolism of carbohydrates, blood glucose, fats, and proteins; the formation of cells and tissues; and the maintenance of muscle function, including cardiac muscle. At MYOXCIENCE, we use Albion®’s TRAACS® magnesium lysinate glycinate (mineral amino acid chelate) and Albion’s chelated dimagnesium malate-both formulated for enhanced absorption. Malic acid (from di-magnesium malate) supports energy production and lactic acid clearance via the Krebs cycle. Malic acid may also support antioxidant systems by enhancing glutathione and antioxidant enzymes.*

My husband was getting some real memory issues; thought he was getting either dementia & or Parkinson’s because his head & hands started shaking just when he was sitting! I started him on some supplements but the main being Magnesium L-Threonate & after 2 weeks he you could see improvement. After taking it for a solid month he was fine, no more shaking & his memory & focusing was greatly improved! We wouldn’t be without it now! He’s been taking it about 7 months & WOW what a difference! I use magnesium oxide for 9-10 years and I'm very active. I take 400-600mg a day. That is simply because there was not another option in my small Meditteranean country. Only recently we got here Mg glycinate and it's 3 times more expensive than oxide and citrate. Citrate is also very expensive here. I don't even think about buying online 'cause only shipping to this area is the question itself and costs more than the product itself.
From the creative point of view, those short-informative types of videos are excellent Mike! You're finally focusing on the actual topic than on the stuff do we hear you, is camera ok, etc. From many professionals out there (keto&carnivore) your conversations with experts bring the most value. I suffer from episodic migraines and started on 600mg/day Mag citrate in late 2020 when the intensity and frequency of my migraines shot up exponentially, my photophobia became more pronounced and pharmacotherapy wasn't doing a thing to help. After two months I went from 18-23 headache days/ month to 7-10. I became a believer in Mag supplementation. When I started on Vit D3 supplementation during the winter, my migraines went down a bit to 5-7 headache days/ month (I was vit d deficient- check your levels!!!). Last month I came across an article on Mag L-threonate and how it crosses the blood brain barrier. I pretty much slept 9-10 hours a day for the first week I started on them (600mg/d). My thinking and alertness became a lot clearer, brain fog a thing of the past, and probably the best effect- whenever I feel a migraine approaching, timely pharmacotherapy can simmer it back down, this never happened before. I've had just one full on migraine since I started on them last month, so its not a miracle worker. Still, I would highly recommend Mag L-threonate to any migraine sufferer, skip the cheaper formulations that have low absorption and bioavailability and go for L-threonate.

Ancient minerals Mag Oil is magnesium chloride. alot of times wen i spray it on it leaves residue on my skin. which leads me to believe its not being absorbed. At other times it stings wen i spray it on. anyone have any knowledge on this product? I read somewhere that if it stings it means you needed it, your skin opened its pores to absorb it more readily??? idk. Also i was wondering if lt is safe to ingest orally. the label says 100% pure mag chloride. The reviews on Amazon are amazing!! You would think it was a miracle cure for every ailment out there. Personally,i have not noticed any difference in how i sleep or my aches and pains, nothing. How about you ,Angela?

Can you please suggest the type of Mag to take for bad muscle cramps. I have suffered from bad foot, calf, neck etc cramps since I was young. When I was 20 started taking Calcium with Vit D. Now much older and taking better Calcium/D3, potassium citrate, and Mag Magnesium L-Threonate, plus K2 complex. I take the Mag and Calcium/D3 with strong lemon water at night but still having painful cramping. Please suggest the best Mag for muscle cramps.

Potassium deficiency can also cause leg cramps, I take 1000 milligrams of Potassium Citrate twice per day with food

Yes! I take multiple forms and it's been so amazing. Glycinate for sleep and I think threonate is helping with my deep sleep according to my Oura ring. I take citrate in the morning to help with regularity. Glycinate was the most life changing for me for sleep and my daughter can tell a difference in her sleep too. It also massively helps with anxiety.

My magnesium story is pretty interesting. When I first started reading about the symptoms of deficiency I was blown away by how many I had especially the high blood pressure and stress. So to give an idea of how deficient I was. I went out in my ignorance at the time and bought a bottle of magnesium oxide. My body needed magnesium so bad that I had no laxative affect. I absorbed every last bit of it. I felt my muscles, body and mind relax like they haven't in years. Thats how bad I needed it. I now take the glycine version and occasionally the threonate.

Every single magnesium sold in the store is magnesium oxide. Iliketo take magnesium after dinner before bed to aid with digestion and to help calm my brain and help me sleep. Magnesium oxide, as I just learned, is the cheapest magnesium to make, and the least absorbed by the body , so I guess the $30 I spend on the magnesium that I ordered from Amazon is a waste of money since it’s mostly magnesium oxide.
