I had a similar situation, I took fire Ravi against Belian, Senya and Peyra, because it is known that Ravi can solo these losers. And then Peyra's RnL started to activate every turn, even several times in a row.... Poor Ravi, I shouted Stop, Stop! He's Already Dead, but no one heard my shouts except the neighbors. This defeat left me deeply traumatized.
I really hope they don't kick you for that insane RNG. Sure, as you mentioned in the comments there might have been some minor adjustments but Ran getting x2 R&L 2 turns in a row and critting an Earth unit 2 times in a row is insane. Plus, vision is always 20/20 looking back. Sorry things were rough today. Keep up the awesome work Vikchun!
My guild is only around top 500, but the following comp has worked well for me against Ran Lillias Senya. Mediator Kawerik, AoL on proof, and ML Belona on counter set with Sigurd Scythe.
9:17 this is the reason why i quit Summoners War the extra proc from runes were so high that no matter what team you had, it could solo you wish i could live to the day when SG finally balance this arti like at least when it procs it shouldn't lower the cooldown of any skills
Hello, vikchun. First time on your channel. Damn, you guys have it rough up there, but I guess that to be expected from top guild. I wanted to share my approach on chiam's second team and a little criticism on your comp. I have only 4-5 fights against that comp but all of them are successful. So, the team is Zio + Jack'o + ML Bellona: 1) Zio pushbacks Ran with S3 and Jack'o pushes forward (speed tune Jack-o to your Zio so she gets turn even if Ran 15% the pushback) 2) Jack-o kills Lilias with S3, pushes Bellona forward and gets extra turn 2.5) Use Jack'o S1 to attack already debuffed Ran - even on miss this definitely kills Ran because she also procs S2 extra with debuff on Ran. It has to be on Ran because if you ignore him, he might get RnL after his silence 3) Bellona uses S3 to kill Senya Key moments: ML Bellona needs to have some speed and tuned to take turn after Jack'o S3 push so she can cut Senya AND on damage arti like portrait of saviors or draco plate to one-shot Senya. Jack'o needs to be on Merciless glutton to further increase her S3 push - this is extra help if Bellona is a bit slower. Zio needs to be on bloody rose - together with chains of chiron, he will have 3 chances of landing debuff (basically extra layer of debuff, in case Ran 15% 1-2 debuffs) This is pretty straight forward team, aggressive, fast, doesn't require souls. Now, since I'm not top player, one could argue that it won't work in your cases but I think the idea is at least worth a try. Maybe you guys could test it in mock battle among yourselves to get the feeling, maybe polish the rough edges if you have them. Now, about the criticism about your approach - you were giving up a bit too much on 2 things: spd and 3rd member. The speed difference between your comp and opponent's comp is too big. It's almost double. Even without this particular case, imo giving your opponent twice of your own pace is asking for to be overwhelmed. With defense rng factor, it just comes faster than you anticipate, almost every time. Then Christy. Although she was there to boost your defensive capabilities, you put her in position where she can't survive long enough. You were already on slower side and by making her easy target to be quickly eliminated, she became your liability instead of boost.
Appreciate the long write up - I agree with the criticism for sure. The comp wasn't that good at all. In addition, your suggestion wouldn't get past a comp check because of the following reasons: 1) like you said, 15% resist debuffs + pushbacks - (unlikely but it's happened) 2) 2x holy sac (senya + Lilias) - we've seen this before and run this in our defenses 3) dodge artifact ran causing you to miss altogether (ideally to counter zio baiken arunka) 4) hilag lance Lilias > Zio S3 into ran but fast Lilias on hilag lance cuts infront of your Jacko (also a trap to counter zio cleaves) Those are a few just to mention but I hear your comp - I would send this shit on my alt in T30 but when were only allowed to have 4 draws per war - we want to minimize our chances of losing as close to 0 as possible

I also tried to use him yesterday to get rid of the Bind debuff right away and enrage me and that worked great only to find out I was skill reset on him so I cant press his s3 and Rage buff lasts 1 turn so after I s1 I lose my rage and then this shit monk was cycling so fast by the time my passive was up again to get enraged she resetted me once more. and again and again. What the fuck, did you get lucky not getting reset? What if you also got permanently stuck in a scenario where you can never press s3 on Atywin?
Yeah, he did resist. In this comp it wouldn't have mattered cause Charlotte was doing a lot of DMG anyway, she is the key to the comp since she always crts and doesn't get affected by increase cool downs

Technically, Midnight lilias wants to have as large as a health pool discrepancy between her (no hp) and her opponents (about 16k hp difference) as possible to 1 shot more units. Helmet gives flat hp as main stat. It's cope.
I had to pity lilias so im all out of everything, id rather avoid spending cash on her but if shes truly a must pull or whatever ill see about grinding then topping off the rest of pity

I think the comp you chose wasn't the wrong comp , but RnL definitely had more than a 20% chance.. it's the Ai defense buff, I swear. I asked about senya because there have been a few other fights (other videos) where you'd leave her alone, and frankly, I'm terrified of that unit, so given the opportunity she'd be my first pick.
They're one of the competitive guilds. If they don't filter their members, do you think they be on the top? There are other chill guilds and semi-competitive guilds for those players who don't chase ranks tho. So it's a win-win nevertheless.

@@vikchun Good to know. I'm not here to spread any hate; guild reputation or otherwise, I have no real competitive aspiration for my time in the game either. Just to try and play my best and enjoy. I always saw guilds as more of a community of like players, so I thought it just sounded odd.
Don't be so hard on yourself on that one loss. There's not much you can do about 5 RnL procs. You could have done a couple of things different like you commented elsewhere but hindsight is a bitch, we love you still!
@@vikchun i have yet to run into a ran that debuffs my elena so that hasn't been a problem, the s3 ee doesn't matter either cuz of invul from elena unless the lilias is just outright slower than all my units which i haven't seen yet and I run doctors bag so any stray debuffs get cut off. I let lilias waste her s3 since Karina and aria are gonna usually be slower than her. After that Karina does s3 with or without def buff to spread the dmg and aria just kills them all from counters/fairy tale procs. Alternatively, I use rimuru instead of Karina to steal immunity from ran, i have him speed tuned to cut ahead of my Elena on s2. He does s3 on senya to halve her hp or more. Elena puts up invul and then same thing for aria, just let counters + fairy static dmg kill. It's what I've had success with to say the least, but im not Fighting top 30 guilds constantly so i get what you're saying lol. My Elena is a speed/Er build, i think the worst that can happen is a lilias being faster than her naturally and on cr push EE.
@@vikchun I've also seen my guild mates use stuff like Aol + Handguy(ml kawerik) + LCBellona. I think how it works is aol takes the s3 from ran, cr pushes, does s2 to cleanse and skill null in case of rnl and pray u don't get rnl'd twice in a fucking row. She does s3 and just turns them all off barring 15%. Kawerik puts up his usual stuff and LCB I assume kills lilias first cuz she's really the biggest problem there imo after ran's debuffs are removed.

wouldn't senya have been the threat? the lilias did so much damage because of the gab on senya. in hindsight the ran proccing infinite RnL was bogus.
think if I played that fight back, the smart play is to not use this comp.
but if I got thrown in with the comp and no other choices - probably dc s3 into ran to avoid being r&l over and over and over and pray my destina can tank out lilias

I think the comp you chose wasn't the wrong comp , but RnL definitely had more than a 20% chance.. it's the Ai defense buff, I swear.
I asked about senya because there have been a few other fights (other videos) where you'd leave her alone, and frankly, I'm terrified of that unit, so given the opportunity she'd be my first pick.

They're one of the competitive guilds. If they don't filter their members, do you think they be on the top?
There are other chill guilds and semi-competitive guilds for those players who don't chase ranks tho. So it's a win-win nevertheless.

With all jokes aside, Talentless is a really good community to be in - I make a lot of jokes about being "kicked" or "replaced" but that shit never happens around here. We've gotten a bad rep over the years (not really sure how since it was before my time) but I can say the 29 other guys I play with are some of the most knowledgeable/awesome people.

Don't be so hard on yourself on that one loss. There's not much you can do about 5 RnL procs. You could have done a couple of things different like you commented elsewhere but hindsight is a bitch, we love you still!

Yea, i just run Elena/Aria/Karina into those ran defenses senya defenses lol. I've never seen an RNL proc that fucking much that's stupid.
Interesting comp but you'll die to senya first > high eff ran > Lilias s3 EE
@@vikchun i have yet to run into a ran that debuffs my elena so that hasn't been a problem, the s3 ee doesn't matter either cuz of invul from elena unless the lilias is just outright slower than all my units which i haven't seen yet and I run doctors bag so any stray debuffs get cut off. I let lilias waste her s3 since Karina and aria are gonna usually be slower than her. After that Karina does s3 with or without def buff to spread the dmg and aria just kills them all from counters/fairy tale procs.
Alternatively, I use rimuru instead of Karina to steal immunity from ran, i have him speed tuned to cut ahead of my Elena on s2. He does s3 on senya to halve her hp or more. Elena puts up invul and then same thing for aria, just let counters + fairy static dmg kill. It's what I've had success with to say the least, but im not Fighting top 30 guilds constantly so i get what you're saying lol.
My Elena is a speed/Er build, i think the worst that can happen is a lilias being faster than her naturally and on cr push EE.
@@vikchun I've also seen my guild mates use stuff like Aol + Handguy(ml kawerik) + LCBellona. I think how it works is aol takes the s3 from ran, cr pushes, does s2 to cleanse and skill null in case of rnl and pray u don't get rnl'd twice in a fucking row. She does s3 and just turns them all off barring 15%. Kawerik puts up his usual stuff and LCB I assume kills lilias first cuz she's really the biggest problem there imo after ran's debuffs are removed.
