Totally agree with your logic, last week I finally got my super low option 1320 I ordered in May’s Vin to show on locator. I can’t thank you enough for sharing your journey to the 10s the smart way! I’ve learned from you about the foam in the body panels I despise & how to dismantle the interior which I will do to put in a weight adding cage but I’m gonna do upgrades & what driveline diet I can afford over time & learned from you the crash supports in alluminum. You’ve shown us 10s are possible & that’s awesome! Thank you again Chris !
Glad to hear your order is moving along. I still have my rear bumper support I need to do and will have a vid on that one hopefully within the next few weeks. I got the rear from a different company out of California that I like a lot better than the speedlogix one I have in the front. I appreciate the comment and thanks for watching!
Been enjoying your videos for a long time. I’ve always wanted a Challenger TA. Just ordered one Saturday in Go mango as light as factory possible with three exceptions. Hood pins, SiriusXM, and power moonroof. Definitely won’t be going as in depth with weight reduction as you but the content has been very helpful, cheers.
I traded in my '21 1320 for a new '23 Jeep Rubicon. Got more than I paid for it. Only had 1,500 miles on it though. Never selling my '22 single seater 1320!
@@updragracer hopefully the track is still around with how it's been going for dragstrips around the country lately. One day I need to make my way up into the northeast.
I ended up dumping mine before the rear axle. I’m kind of following your steps otherwise , just with a regular scat since there weren’t any 1320s local at the time.
That’s fine, I have no reason to convince you. But I will say this, if that weight didn’t matter, then how did I get my car with a stock 392 and a stock tune to run 10.9 second 1/4 miles?
@@Scavenger1320 super low DA, and weight reduction of course. My point is, pulling the flimsy pillar covers off, and a dash bezel won't make a notable difference. That could be easily eaten up with how much fuel you have in the tank, or if you had a big lunch. Each their own, but you've been at 10.9 for how long and you keep ripping shit out of the car with no return.
@@bigk5746 so you do admit it makes a difference, because there is no magic 500 pound lead weight that you can just remove, it takes a combination of a bunch of little things to add up to it. So yeah, on its own 5 pounds won’t make a difference, but 20 of those 5 pound things will. Also the things pulled in this vid were prior to me first breaking into the 10s. But as I said, I have no reason to convince you. In fact, the more people think like you the better it is for me. It means my record stands longer, it means it’ll be easier for me to always be one of, if not the quickest 392 at the track.
@@Scavenger1320 I never said weight reduction doesn't make a difference but when you have the car at it's very limit, and you pull a dash apart to get a 1lb plate out, I feel you are just being overkill and it's a joke. Also, if you got T Boned in that thing, you'd be so F'd up, it just isn't worth taking everything out of the car. In my opinion. If you put 30lbs back in the car, you wouldn't notice it.
@@Scavenger1320 You have a high 10 second 392, in LOW DA that is tin can gutted. Tens in 392 cars has been done over and over again. All motor, boosted, nitrous whatever - you don't have one of the fastest 392's, it's just a 392. So all that messing around pulling weight, taking away comfort, making the car undrivable and unlivable on the street seems foolish when you do a nice cam, and a drag pack and get the same results you are getting now. It's a micro record that no one cares about, it's only running 10's in low DA, and you butchered the car. All this to say it's a cool car, but this way of pulling weight and trying to go fast is wildly unnecessary.
@Scavenger1320 thanks because I have the 2023 durango and your dash is set up kind of like mine and I wanted to remove it to put in a aftermarket sound system. I didn't want to break the dash basil when taking it out so thanks a lot!!!
Weight reduction absolutely works, and is a much cheaper option to improve performance over bolt ons.
Can't get much cheaper than free! lol At least for most of my weight reduction.

Cool! Funny too! You ever go to Titanium lugs nuts. Rotaing weight reduction buddy...
Not yet, still broke lol. They're on my list though so one day.
Another great video… you helped a lot with locations of wiring harnesses … as always… thanks.. Pat 😎🇺🇸
One of the reasons I like to do these. Thanks for watching!

Congrats on the order! The waiting part is going to suck but it'll be worth it. Thanks for watching and I appreciate the comment!
That look like the best way to get to the 2 blend door actuators on the driver side.
should definitely make it easier.
Traded my 1320 in for a escalade 😂 . Price was right and I needed something to tow my 68 Camaro to the track .

As long as you still have a car to take to the track, even if it is a chevy lol.

Would be nice if they had a sand cast aluminum block and aluminum body.
How much does the car weigh before and what does it weigh now?
Fresh off the truck, it weighed 4140. Last time I weighed it on the morning I ran my 10.98 it weighed 3610
@@Scavenger1320 thank u
Love the weight reduction videos
😱 "promo sm"
5:12 do you know what that part is called by chance?
That is called the Steering Column Cover Reinforcement Part# 68184242AB
@@Scavenger1320 thank you
Might as well go ahead and unhook that exhaust too 😂
Gotta do some testing on that first, but also I wanted to hit that 10 second 1/4 with a full stock exhaust

now imagine when you do add power adders 🤣 can’t wait to see it
Waiting on direct connection to see what they got coming for the 392. I’ll probably keep it N/A though
You will never convince me that pulling 50-60lbs of olastic out of the car makes any notable difference in performance.
