- I need to repot my overgrown and root-bound Bird of Paradise in a larger pot. It’s going to be challenging as the Strelitzia is almost 3 meters tall, very wide, and has damaged leaves. So... I asked for professional help from the plant nursery people.

They are so professional. The woman was very well spoken and simplified things so much more than most usually do, while saying a lot less! Loved this video! Very educational.
Aww, I will let her know)
I wasn’t impressed at much at all with this simplified approach. Let’s keep in mind these “professionals,” are re-potting large quantities of different plants, so as they are driven by profits, shortcuts are taken and corners are often cut. While you can generally rely on these companies for consistent quantities and diverse selections, the same can’t be same for the quality.
It was strangely soothing to watch the process 😌
It’s plant ASMR)
It is.wow
This was a very smart idea on your part👍🏻 Your plant got a professional check up and proper repotting. They gave you such great service .
Thanks so much! 😊
This reminded me of TV series, "Dexster". Lol
Wow!! This video was AMAZING!! Seeing them report your plant and reading her advice was great! I'm so glad you made this video. Thank you ☺️
Glad it was helpful!
Now it looks waaaay better :) and healthier
Es una planta extraordinaria, por sus flores, saludos.
Thank you!
I've made notes on everything I've learned in this video. Thank you so much for making it 😊
You're so welcome!
Elena, very good information! Especially when it comes to hydrating the plant, thank you for inviting specialists. Keep it like this!
Because I didn't know how to take care of myself properly, two crotons dried out.
Oh yeah, real plant talk)
I love this. Thank you 😊
So glad!
💚
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
What is the name of this type of pot?
What are its features?
Why don't you use pottery pots (natural clay!)? ? It is closer to plants and healthy because it is porous and from nature
It's just a big plastic pot. It's advantages are:
1) It's lightweight. Clay pots of this size are VERY heavy to carry around.
2) It's durable. Clay pots are more fragile than plastic ones.
3) Plastic doesn't absorb moisture or retain bacteria. It's a more sanitary choice, especially if the plant already has a root illness.
Why didn't they trim the leaves down to the bottom ?
that's a big plant damn :O but it looks great keep up the good work ;)
Thank you, I will) Subscribe for more videos like this)
I wish they showed how far the soil should go, I have a small one, I bought it only recently, but when I pulled it out, the roots were insane, so I repotted it, and one root literally grows upwards before it bends down again. it doesn't seem possible to keep it under the soil, while keeping the "crown of the plant" out of the soil...
Well, you need someone to take a look at it. Maybe post it in some plant caring communities
Fantastic Video!...What kind of soil is being used????
Just a regular indoor plants soil mix. You can find them in a supermarket or plant nursery
Nice!! How long have you had it? It’s very big and very beautiful, Elena.
We've had it for a little over 2 years now. It seemed big to us even before we got it, but now it's truly huge) I'm afraid of how much it will still grow))
@@redhead_inc i wish i had that problem 😩
@@loveisfourwalls6377 Oh dear( It's a problem when they grow too much, it's a problem when they don't grow enough...
@@redhead_inc true i'm just very impatient 😭

What's the fungicide brand ? Is it copper sulfate ?
Hi, which fungicide should we use? There are so many different types on the market
This was a generic one in Ukraine. Don’t remember the name…
how tall do they grow and can you plant out doors and what is the real name of plant?
I think that Strelitzia Nicolai can grow up to 3 meters high. Depending on the climate of your country - it can grow outside. For example, in Barcelona these plants grow outside.
What is the name of the fungicide she used for your plat.
Hi there, I'm afraid I can't remember the name( Was a while ago
Cinnamon works well as a fungicide. I stick to natural things for my babies and they are growing amazingly!!!
Please help me save my plant,I have a bird
Of paradise, I need to know how help it live
Hey Darlene, by no means am I an expert, but tell me what happend.
did you just call them "..PROFESSIONAL plant care team....." ? cameon. thats something men around you can do.
Yes, because they are agronomists - professionals in the science of soil management and plant care.
Can you plant bird of paradise with elephant ear plant?
No clue 🕵🏻♀️
Why would you want to put 2 very large plants together? Elephant ears are fast growing and the root system can get crazy, I wouldn’t recommend
The plant does not look healthy
No, it's not super-healthy( How can you tell?
