Hi @KTprawns . I really liked all those videos but I couldn't find any water salinity or any filteration info . I am planning to have a 100lt aquarium atm to start with 10/15 brackish water prawns . Could you please give us a bit more information . Thank you
shrimp raising is very interesting. where do you buy the shrimp from? local stores? I only grow some ghost shrimp before and later I got some freshwater puffers and they eat them all lol
Hi KT Prawns, I like your videos. Already Subscribed. Just wanted to ask one question. Apart from water filtration and aeration, what all water parameters do you maintain for this Marine Shrimps ? Best Regards
Hi, since you raise both freshwater and Saltwater prawns, I'm assuming for food consumption. Do they both taste essentially the same. If not, How does taste differ between freshwater prawns and saltwater prawns and which do you prefer to consume?
I need to know everything because I want to keep some shrimp First what do u feed them Are they saltwater and can I use sea salt How can I reel if they are male or female Thank u
@@normar6650 I don't have videos because it was a long time ago when I worked with shrimp, but if you have access to L. vannamei postlarvae, with good gill development (minimum PL12) you can start changing them to fresh water, gradually replacing salt water with fresh water. in a process of 3 to 5 days you can have them in fresh water completely.
In the wild, They eat snails, small fishes, dead plants matter and anything they can catch. If growing them at home, sinking pellets fish food or shrimp food.
I watch all your videos. They are what I m looking for. I m in Cambodia.

I have a question for you KT Prawn what type of salt did you use? Did you use sea salt or aquarium salt
Aquarium salt is what I use..
where did u get your PL's?? or do you sell them??? i plan to start soon.
+ART DRISCOLL Hi. I raised them at home and do sell them on Ebay.
I tried this as well. How do you managed the salt water?
dkroen17 I run the water just as I would for Freshwater Prawns, good filtration and lot of aeration.
How do you measure the salt content? Or do you get water from the ocean?
You can acclimate them to fresh water when they are postlarvae and can have good development.
Yes, freshwater prawn can acclimated to freshwater once they reach PL's stage. This video is on Pacific White Shrimps.
i worked with L.vannamei at 0.5 ppt , they grew 05 gr/week in recirculated water, so far of the sea.greetings from Monterrey Mx.
