My Grandma taught me how to make these. They were really popular in the 1920's when she was a girl. Great video. Love the colors. Gorgeous!

Love it Beth. I’m envisioning you making a quilt - all of small gorgeous squares in windowpanes - in the centre of each you attach a Suffolk puff of a different luscious fabric pattern - I think it would make such a wonderful boho quilt! I did a throw in crochet along a similar vein called Monet’s Garden. The texture is really fab. Thank you for this lovely slow stitching series - just what the doctor ordered. :)

I love this. My mother n Law (a quilter) gave me a mesh bag full of scraps I can’t even pick it up. This is something I can do and add them to my junk journals I make or even front of cards. I have a ton of beautiful buttons I think would look beautiful. Thanks for sharing! 💜
And love your story line on Y&R. Can’t wait for more! Hugs from TEXAS and ya know they are BIG! lol

I recall grandma teaching me to make these when I was about five. I made a doll quilt.
I made a twin size that was for my daughter's bed.
I have an assortment made. As you mentioned; you can make a dime sized one, flip over and tack on the center. I made sunflowers that way
One thing, they really need to be the same size if you're doing a quilt though our it'll be lopsided

Liberty Fabrics are fabulous. I have a packet I purchased in Ireland. I use them so sparingly.

Happily there are US sources now, and options for getting our hands on some without having to go to London. Although, that's not a bad option. lol

Hi Beth! You’re a virtual friend to me through your quilting, needlework and Y & R! I have a quilt book from you from some years ago that I treasure . I’m your age and have been with the Y & R family since the beginning. I love to make quilts for others and I do tons of needlepoint which is very meditative. You are so fortunate to be living your best life now. Keep enjoying it all. You’re inspiring.! Much ❤️

Thank you Janice!! That's so nice of you to first of all say hello, and also support my various creative journeys along the way. I'm glad you have needlepoint and quilting to keep your creative hands at work. For years I gave up handwork for time...but now that I find myself with more of that, I'm glad to be circling back to it and loving the process. much love right back.

Hi, Beth! I love your channel and I love you on Y&R! My mom and I love the show and we love watching it every weekday! Like your character Traci, I love to write, but I write poetry and short stories. And I sing, too, along with some acting. And I’ve been watching the show since 2020 ever since I was 17, and I just love the cast, the storylines, the characters, the acting, everything. And you as Traci and Joshua Morrow as Nick are my favorites. You always bring such inspiration and such light on the show, even in character. Even in the pandemic when the rerun episodes showed, I saw an episode storyline when Traci tried to kill herself and back then she was insecure about herself, even about her looks, well, I relate to Traci a lot since I was like that in middle school and high school due to being shy and overweight but I grew out of it and time changed my look and I matured like how Traci did even though I still have flaws and I try to remain resilient and reasonable and the voice of reason and the glue to keep my family and friends together, kind of like Traci. I admire you and your character so much. You always bring light. And I even wish I was in the show since I like acting lol. But, thank you, Beth. ❤🥹🙏🏻

Great video. I don’t fold the raw edge in because I like that look.
