  • Our Copex shear shearing heavy girders and crushing tanks, also, a new non ferrous baler being unloaded in a tandem lift with our new Linde 3.5 tonne forktruck and JCB 411 with forks fitted. It was at work baling copper as soon as it was installed. There’s also loads being tipped for sorting and processing.

    That comment when the tank just refused to roll over by itself. All in a day's work for your coworkers. 😁👍👍

      Thats my youngest son 😂all of my four kids work here with me. We work together on the shear sometimes, his job is driving our hookloader and mine is driving the Sennebogens.

    Mark, a great one! The new bundler? (not sure what it´s actually called) looks cool. Can we see a little more of it in action? What is the est working life of the shear? Thanks for taking the time to make us another excellent video!

      It's a baler Paula but the lid has cutting blades so you can shear/cut with it. The life of a shear will depend on a multitude of things, care and maintainance, abuse, use -how many hours it works. There are plenty of 30-40 year old machines around.

      @@markschofield9494 I was sort of close there, bundler, baler. Very modern and always your yard looks to tidy too. Thanks Mark. Going back to have another look at it and see if I can see the cutting blades on it!

    Nice yard you have there. Question... You cut at what looks like 2 meters long, do you have issues selling such long pieces? Here, we have to cut at 1 yard.

    • @markschofield9494
      @markschofield9494  Год назад

      No, we alter the length on the go but usually 1 mtr or less, occassionally a longer piece falls through as happens with all shears. industry standard is 5 foot by 2 foot but a little oversize on the deep sea export doesn't seem to matter.

    Can that thing bite threw railway iron??

    • @markschofield9494
      @markschofield9494  Год назад +1

      Yes, it has a railbreaker feature, it snaps rather than shears rail. We haven’t used it though.
