I just noticed something big! The twin blades of Shalamanye now represent Varian and Saurfang! When Anduin frees himself, he is holding the blue half on of the sword on his left hand representing the Alliance’s Valor and the red half on his right hand representing the Horde’s Honor. In the game the Alliance is the left while the Horde is right. Could this mean that Anduin is key who will unite the Horde and Alliance?!
@@RPKguildproduction Perhaps unintentional. But since it is implied Saurfang and Varian’s souls are in the blade itself. Then I kinda feel like each blade represents them in some sort of way?
@@memecraft3188 lore wise they were always blue and red but in game that’s never been shown - I like your idea thought and that’s why they decided to finally show that
There wasn't anything left of him to say goodbye too, just a fragment of his destroyed soul. But they did at least get to be there with his last fragment, think like people gathered around a dying person in a hospital bed when they can't even speak or respond.
one thing that bothered me was "how/why did Varian and Varok show up?" so, i got to thinking, what if Shalamayne saved a tiny portion of their souls inside the blade when they died? this is kind of supported when Anduin first went to the Broken Shore and picked up his father's blade and then had a small chat with him somewhere, maybe inside the blade, before accepting his role as king. so, if this is true, it would explain why they showed up to help Anduin in his darkest hour and free himself from the Jailer's domination.
Honestly, I think it might be more like a vision given by the Light. Souls typically had this "blue tint" to them, but Variant Saurfang had that golden glow to them. And it was something else they said too... "It's legacy, and ours, are with you... Even here." Before Anduin got re-captured by the Jailer during the beginning quest line (when we first enter the Maw, just before we go to Oribos), Anduin says the following before calling on the Light: "The Light is with me... Even here." So I think it's more that the Light provides solace and strength to Anduin, not just through its regular presence, but by using people he felt close to or looked up to as a way to pass on its message.
You can be pretty sure (also by the color), that again the Light was involved in the destruction of another mourneblade. Don't forget that it was the Light that destroyed Frostmourne, else the player chards would have just been slaughtered by Arthas and become undead servants. In this case Anduin hasn't fallen to the corruption like Arthas, who even cut out his own heart (that's when Jaina knew, that prince Arthas is dead and only the Lich King remains), Zovaal doesn't even care for him or other mortals at all (that's pretty mucht the thing that makes him the antagonist, he sees mortals as a dangerous waste of energy), so he didn't ever care to corrupt him, just control him if needed (also: his soul still being uncorrupted was one of the main things why he was useful for the goal to get the keys from the other death gods and in the ende Zovaal's own heart back these death gods had stolen from him - there is overall little reason to trust the other guys, especially not the Primus, who was the one who had CREATED domination magic in the first place, wouldn't surprise me at all if that still becomes a thing and Zovaal himself was just a puppet in the schemes of others).
Love how ppl think he ripped the sword apart. He did not,the sword splits only to the worthy, and the sword saw Anduin worthy even when he was under domination magic.
I love reaction clips, new to your channel. It was a good cinematic all the way to the end were arthas should have been given 10 secounds with Jaina. That would melt my heart *smile*
Yap rip arthas and RIp F Sylvanas too! we never ever wanan hear both those crazy people ever again!! good thingblizzard finally left it go and move on took only 20 yers lol
It's sad they could disrupt such an amazingly put together cutscene with some kind of weird "Closing" of Arthas that didn't need to happen. You almost don't even believe its from the same cutscene tbh
Don't really agree with them trying to just discard Arthas in that way, it's gross to me. It REEKS of new writers trying to trash the work that preceded theirs and lends support to the idea that they resent the product they are supposed to be the custodians of. I can think of several ways to take his story that are better than 99% of this expansion's story.
It's the absolute PERFECT end for Arthas. Hell, Arthas is a the fallen hero, the traged of a chosen one who goes down the path to hell and becoming a worth evil than anything he ever was supposed to fight. What exactly do you want? That they piss on that and just make him come back like in an shonen manga, where the bad guy, who just had tried to destroy earth becomes a new buddy in the team of the Mary Sue protagonist team? That would be disgusting and bad. It would have undone Arthas' whole story in every way and everything meaningful in it.
@@miriamweller812 It was the most trash can writing of an expansion that was ever shat out of Steve Danuser's asshole brain. "Derrrr da Jailer planned everything you did in Warcraft 1, 2 and 3! Durrrr!" Fuck World of Warcraft, it ruined the Warcraft games...

The reason she said " let your name be forgotten" is because the DEVS are tired of the player base judging everything against WoTLK and Arthus. They want Arthus back and the devs want to move on and forget him.

The right half of Shalamayne (Ellemayne) has always been red. Its not that deep.

I'm so sorry for your loss. He's with with still 💜
When they started playing Arthas, My son, that was it for me! Tears!
I wish Arthas' last energy unites with Anduin's blade
when the song started my heart stopped….. Arthas ❄️
Same, I knew it immediately and the goosebumps... so good
I expected more from how they presented Arthas. Sadly, Jaina and Uther doesn’t get to have their last farewell to Arthas.
