Amazing video, was able to knock this job out in about 45 minutes. Love the format, straight to the point, very well edited. Nice work, probably one of the best RUclips tutorials I’ve ever had to use!

Is the 2018 Chevy equinox similar to the Traverse under the hood?

Thank you for the video bro. Dealership wanted to charge me close to $1300 to replace my alternator. The Alternator was expensive but with your own effort saved me 4:01 a lot of money.

You’re welcome! Glad to be able to help! I’m really surprised I had to replace an alternator on this new of a vehicle, but thankfully it’s not too hard of a job for a DIY project.

I really don’t understand how you were able to slide the alternator in and out so easily. I fought with mine for 20 minutes to get it out and to get it back in.
I also cracked the housing on the wire harness. So yay.

If you notice the jump-cut in the video, it did take several attempts to get the old one out. Still much easier than taking out the radiator or lifting the engine to get more room, though.

@ agree with ya 100% I just was hopeful for like an inch or two more clearance would have made a world of difference lol

Thank you so much! This video helped me tremendously. I don't think I would have been able to change out my alternator without this step-by-step video. I still don't understand why my alternator went out in my 2020 Chevy traverse but it sounds like that might be a common problem with this model.
I left you a like and subscribed as this channel is excellent. But I will leave you with one more thing, as salvation is the most important thing that you can have:
Acts 4:12 KJV - Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Romans 5:8 KJV - But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 10:13 KJV - For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

You’re welcome! Yes, unfortunately it does seem to be a common problem with that model. Thanks for the support!

    Remove the studs? Lmfao.

    • @FixandMaintain

Good luck getting the old one out without removing the studs…or you could remove the radiator to get enough clearance, but I’d prefer the former.

I am NEVER doing this job again, the amount of times I dropped the pulley trying to get it back on has left multiple anger dents on my beater car

    • @FixandMaintain
      @FixandMaintain  6 месяцев назад

Haha, yes, that pulley was a pain to get back in. Even more aggravating when it looks like it should go back so easily!
