The way your explaining these videos seem a lot clearer and easy to understand than other peoples videos. Well done guys your doing great and are a huge success!!🎣😎
Thank you for the info. I just ordered some carp UK style tackle. This makes easier to put the rig together. Here in the US the stores near me dont carry tackle like this.
I used to think catching a carp was near impossible, I thought you had to have tonnes of expensive gear, and the biggest stocked lake to even get near it, but these guys proved you don’t need much at all, thanks for all the videos guys genuinely very motivational. I’m now watching your old videos because I’ve seen them all 😒
Great vids guys, I have literally started fishing three weeks ago and caught a 9lb 12oz carp second time out with the help of your method feeder vid, many thanks.
Just getting back into fishing after 25 years & you two are the best for advice on how to set up in different ways. Excellent tutorial. Clear & precise. Can’t wait to test these. Thanks
o my god so simple ....thanks a lot bro i just started fishing started float fishing but now i wanna go for something bigger this helped me a lot its so simple....keep it up bro thanks again
Your videos are brilliant! Explained clearly and in detail and what equipment is needed ! A godsend to a new angler like myself I watch all your videos keep doing what your doing, your passion for fishing shines thru your tutorials in the quality and detail that u provide 😊 well done buddy and thank u 😊
Wow. I have just started fishing about 3 months ago. This video has helped me a lot. Although the price of things. Well done to this channel. Keep up this clear, fantastic work! 🎉🎉
I watch your videos and it’s so helpful and simple but then I watch other videos and people have like all this tube stuff and screws etc and I don’t understand the need for all that stuff when you can just do it like this it’s like people love to make life difficult 😂 thanks for the help my birthday was yesterday so got a lot of new gear and going to try it out with this method hopefully I break my pb as it is only a 10lb 4oz common 😂
Guys, good job! It’s nice that you also have a tutorial channel but a awesome carp fishing channel. Everything in this video was so clear and I understood every word even tho Iam still quite young! Amazing video, hope to see more❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Great video and clearly explained. No need to over complicate something that can he done so simply. One tutorial I'd like to see is making a drop shot rig. Tried it last year for the first time. Went 3 times & had nothing. Bit now it's starting to get colder I was going to start trying again. Would be great to have a few tips for this winter going out.
Great video really clear and could see everything really well which is an issue with some videos. Also aren't you supposed to strip back enough braid coating so when you tie the knotless know you have a few cm of play to aid hooking.
We've found leaving the end section supple to not really improve the chances of hooking a fish, in fact the angle the line comes out of a wide gape hook with the material still coated is quite good and the hook flips over better. I'm sure both will work though, it's just our preference these days to have it coated. :)
Used this set up all my life and never let me down. I see so many rigs these days, are they really better? not a big fan of drop of leads but everywhere wants it now.
Thanks for these vids very much appreciated lads I've just got back into fishing and it was your main channel that has inspired me congrats again on the new channel all the best luck for the future kutgw.👍🏻😁
Excellent video and very well delivered for a newbie to understand. Thanks a lot and I am looking forward to the other videos that I have added to my playlist.
We use none of this rubbish in Australia corn or worm on a unweigheted hook gets scoffed by carp . Then you throw the carp down a wombat hole because carp are a pest
Can I just ask (as someone returning to fishing) that the coated braid hook length is approx 2lbs lighter than you main line? Fishing has got a lot more technical since I last fished 25yrs ago but would love to try this method👍
This lead system is not fish-safe in case of a line break, the fish has meters of line behind itself when te fish swims true branges, the fish can get stuck and injure itself or even die, use a fish friendly system where the fish only has the rig in case of a line break, these are ready to use. in the fish shop I use the pole position safety system of strategy. (Google Translate) Love the videos keep it up👌🏼
Our local fishing pool does not allow a fixed weight on the line. The line should have the weight attached before the rig on a swivel so that the line can pay out when the fish bites and takes the rig and bait. I think they do it to try and stop you sinking the rig and bait to the bottom. You then have to be very accurate to get only a small amount of float in the bait.
Hi nice video! I'm trying to find a braided line like yours but no luck. Can you share more details on what should I be searching for or recommend some? Thanks!
Mainly a hardcore river piker me but when close season comes Im thinking of carping. I understand this video fully its just the pop up bit what do you mean to make a break in the line where the shot goes
Hi guys great vids, after being out of carp fishing for a number of years this was a good refresher, can you do a video on the lead end I used to have a running lead on the mainline with a split shot to stop it at the rig end, now a lot of people use lead clips and fixed leads why????? Surely less resistance or the running lead was best???????
Great video! I have just bought some Korda tackle online! I usually float fish but am going to a big specimen lake at the weekend full of carp and want to try this! To save time I have bought a a few pre done Korda rigs! Size 6 and 8. And then purchased the slow sinking fake corn! Along with a selection of swivel lead weights ranging from 1.5oz to 3.5oz and will use this same method! Only Issue is I don’t currently have a bite alarm! I know you guys tend to use these in your videos and I will get one soon! But for this weekend as I am not float fishing I take it this will still work and I will just see the road tip bend and feel the pull?
Hey mate, yeah as your getting into it, you could put a carp rig out on one rod, whilst doing your float fishing on the other rod. You could just slacken off the clutch and pick it up if it screams off, or if the line falls slack. A bite alarm is nice if your fishing multiple rods, or overnight fishing but in the day you can just watch the line or rod tip! :)
Morning! Just to pass on a opinion from a beginner, I bought all this setup apart from the make of hook, but that 18lb braid you recommended had no chance of being blood knotted to my hook as the eyelet was way too small. Something a regular fisherman would know but not a newbie! There are so many choices of carp hook out there it's too confusing!
Great vid lads, what weight leads would you use for short to medium range(20-30meters) casting on a clear(snagless) lake. Would a 2oz do the job? And should i fish it inline or clip on? Cheers
Quick question, what's the advantages of the lead system he showed here vs just attaching your rig to your main line using a simple swivel attached to both ends with a half blood knot?
Hi carl and alex, tell me what im doing wrong please my 20lb coated braid wont go through the eye twice 😂🙈 when i try and push it back through it just dosent seem big enough the eye
Love your videos as a noobie myself! First time I’ve ever been fishing and used similar rig unsure which lol…I caught 11 pound leather. With this rig could you leave the lead runner a little more loose so the lead can come off incase if snags ??
This is stupid question but forgive me. If the fish was to get snagged and the line break would the lead be ejected from the clip instead of it being dragged around in the fish’s mouth. As you can tell from my question carp fishing is new to me
Excellent video and great production values as always, congratulations on the new channel, you both have so much to offer it makes sense to do this. 😉 Quick question I noticed that at the end of the video you show these rigs with an inline lead setup, is that your preferred method? Can you explain in a video when best to use what lead setups with what rigs. Thanks guys keep up the fantastic work 👍
Hi Alex, from my experience with rigs such as this you can fish it with both a lead clip and in line lead system. I would usually make this choice based on the lake/river bed I am fishing on. If there are many snags then I would choose a lead clip system that allows me to drop the lead if the fish runs into weeds or other snags. I use a running rig if fishing on gravel/light silt bottoms and don't feel it necessary to drop my lead. Hope this helps. Not an expert and there's plenty of other people out there to help you out :)
Nice, clear video but I’d use a Tucked Half Blood or a Uni Knot from the mainline to the lead swivel for extra security. Just the salmon fisherman in me coming to the surface.

We tend to use lead clips for long range fishing or when we could be fishing different lakebeds in one session. When we know a lake well and are sure the bottom is clean and firm, we can just fish inlines :)

Shit when I see what they are using it looks like a whole lot of stuff to me. You don't even need that much stuff, but it does look nice.
You guys explain everything so clearly and so effectively, thank you so much for the time you take to make these videos!

Normally a coarse/match style angler but slowly coming over to the carp scene.. finally an easy rig to follow!

We tend to use lead clips for long range fishing or when we could be fishing different lakebeds in one session. When we know a lake well and are sure the bottom is clean and firm, we can just fish inlines :)
A leadclip is versatile and you can switch leads as you wish and by using a distance lead on a lead clip you can cast further, but we also like inlines to avoid dropping lead if we are hauling loads of carp for example. It's kinda personal preference.

Either will work! Pulling the line taut enough to make a slight bend in the rod tip will help you see bites :)
