On the one hand, I want to believe, it totally makes sense and I'm thinking not even about a remake but about a sequel (Bern and Lambda in Answer Arcs have more important roles). On the other, I'm afraid we hope for too much.
Yeah it's pretty obvious now there will be Umineko remake, not just umineko but probably also Classroom of the Elite both remakes will come out at the same time. I can already see it happening the anime community would be in a state of shock.
@@Henry_Red That doesn't seem obvious at all. This isn't even a Higurashi Remake, it is a sequel. Them connecting the two stories doesn't at all imply they are going to remake Umineko. If anything, connecting the two implies they are wrapping everything up rather than doing more with Umineko.
She's just as cruel. But she wasn't the main antagonist in that conflict, but an ally. In the end it's just a way to fight Bern and she loves that. Witches in general have that mood/cruelty swings.
Well, it's established in Umineko itself that Lambda tortured Bern in the past to the point that Bern became the witch that she is. Anything showing that would put a much more negative light on her. Same goes to Featherine, who is said to have been worse than Bern in the past, although by the time of Umineko, Bern considers her old and tired compared to her previous self.
Anybody notice that witch Satako has Lambdelta's face? Her expression? When Featherine begins to speak? Get the offical artwork of Lambdadelta, and check it out. Lazy eyes, and smile...
Lambda has young Miyoko's face and hair and birthday. She also has Satoko's eyes, laugh and tsundere persona and likes pranks (has a Halloween themed dress - makes you think of trick or treat). Everyone associated with her directly have blonde hair (Even Satoshi's name can be read as 3-10-4 which can be written as 三十四 meaning thirty four). However I also noticed she shares some similarities with Rena; like the design of their dresses - Both have puffed sleeves and are long at the back and open up at the front and a ribbon at the neckline. The decisive feature is their hats. And they both love cute things. Tbis may seem like a coincidence but then I recalled Reina's name is a wordplay for 07. 3+4=7 This also probably unrelated but the Mi in Mion can be interpreted as 3 and the Shi in Shion is 4. It's been said multiple times that the twins may as well be one and the same.
@@takasakisaito1210 I guess the costume is supposed to embody Lambda's personality. As the witch of certainty, she has many proteges and friends who believe in the power of hard work; so she represents all of them. Bern is unsociable and rarely interacts with anyone; because as a witch of miracles, her appearance in itself before anyone is the rarest of occurences; and so she doesn't take proteges so easily.
Well the culprit in Umineko has multiple personalities and uses that to build a lot of mysteries in Umineko. But once you know that , it solves a lot of puzzles
Can there be a happy end, now that there is only the witch left? Satoko will never return I fear... I am kinda shocked that people find this confrontation amazing, while we might have witnessed the saddest episode ever. You all sound like entertained witches lol
lambdadelta likely already exists before the events of higurashi - she granted takano a wish as a child (confirmed in "Memoirs of the ΛΔ"), plus she's older than bernkastel (confirmed somewhere), so satoko isn't her origin story - it's more likely that she's a piece or influenced by her or something
@@marie-mary4468 lambda was also born from a logic error like bern, but there's no information that indicates it was featherine's game (if there is pls tell me). plus, in memoirs of of the ΛΔ it outlines various different people lambda granted wishes to before takano, which would insinuate that she's then older than the higurashi gameboard the theory that satoko is lambda's origin could work, esp bc when they cry does like to play with time loops, but there is evidence against it.
bern was likely born because hanyuu knew about takano's plan but claimed that rika could survive, and since takano's plan had absolute certainty from lambda's support, it caught rika in a logic error which she then had to solve herself (this is insinuated in the umineko manga and also in an interview with ryukishi07)
Oh God. How much I like such combinations. :D Umineko's remake MUST follow after "Sotsu", as well as its genuine sequel to "Chiru". There is no other option!
I meant the anime version. :) The 2009 anime has a truncated story from VN and manga. In addition, only the history of the first four arcs. Higurashi Gou and Sotsu are the perfect bridge between Higurashi and Umineko. And a reason to correct Umineko from 2009 and complete the story in the anime. Especially since a new "WTC" is being created - Ciconia. ;)
Yes. Well, it shaped the popculture since the 90s so maybe in some way, directly or not, it affected Ryukishi? I'm waiting for a mirror scene in the next episode and Satoko saying: "How's Rika? How's Rika?"
@@Wrathu The chandelier scenes in Umineko have an eerie resemblance to the ceiling fan scenes in the flashbacks to Laura Palmer being assaulted by her father/BOB and in Fire Walk With Me. Considering the types of things that happen during the chandelier scenes...I should not need to say it really. Higurashi is also extremely denpa (I think Umi is too but it's more subtle because of how loud and theatrical it is compared to most of Higurashi, as Maria is the only one who really behaves outwardly like Rena and Rika in that manner). Twin Peaks was immensely popular in Japan (the Georgia coffee commercials) and Fire Walk With Me's reception there was far more positive than anywhere else in the world. And as you may know JoJo Part 4 and Persona 4 are explicitly inspired by Twin Peaks, and I would be very surprised if it wasn't an influence on other denpa media as well. So I really wouldn't doubt that Ryukishi was a Twin Peaks fan or at least was extremely familiar with the works the show inspired. I find it to be a very strong influence on Tsukihime as well, and it wouldn't remotely surprise me if Kinoko Nasu himself was a fan. As Higurashi and Umineko borrow a lot from Tsukihime, that might be the connection if Ryukishi never actually watched it. If Lynch rubbed off on Nasu then Nasu rubbed off on Ryukishi, that would be satisfactory enough to say Twin Peaks influenced WTC in my book. There are also Chunsoft games like Kamaitachi no Yoru which Ryukishi was heavily inspired by as well (he wrote a scenario in the remake) that could've been influenced by Twin Peaks to consider as well.
I wonder why Satoko personality got split in the first place. I guess it's all Eua's (Featherine's) doing. Really similar to Hanyuu who also seems to be Featherine's another personality. Does Featherine have the power to split not only other people's personality but her own personality too? If yes, why would she split her own personality to create Hanyu?
@@Hebleh I meant to say the fragment travelling Satoko was born after the original Satoko's personality was split. I kinda like how she keeps calling herself Satoko, even when proclaiming herself a Witch. Adds to the confusion if this is all Umineko or not.
If this Higurashi series is somehow really connected to Umineko, then this is only between Bernkastel & Lamdadelta and that girl Eua is Featherine.
Higurashi always has been connected to Umineko, even the old anime
Lambda has truly arisen!
Interesting enough lambdadelta in umineko is less cruel than bernkastel and featherine. She often helps Battler and ange to win against bernkastel.
