Really liked the part in Episode 6 where Bart's surrogate piece "El Barto" starts a fire at Skinner's biological mother's house to trap him in an error.
LOL so Bart here is bern?
Wow that moment with Elbarto Simpsono was so very good, .
EAT the HAMS, SENTENCED to HAMS, THE GREAT EQUALIZER IS HAMS!
God, you even managed to have Seymour twist the Red Truth to his advantage in a way that was technically correct but dishonest in spirit. What a splendid witch. What an amazing roller coaster of a meme.
If you wouldn't mind, can you explain how he twisted the truth? I read that block of red truth a few times and even rewatched the original, but it seems like he's lying. There was fire in that house, from when he burned the original ham.
@@RobH73 Look up Seymour's backstory in the Simpsons wiki or something, he's not who he says he is. (Widely regarded as one of the worst episodes or something like that).
@@RobH73 he technically said at 13:30 no FIRE has been see, hear or feel it on any case, BUT he not said anything about smoke, when a house is on fire there is always smoke all over the place, so agnes did not see fire, and seymour didn't say smoke in any case
@@omidesuwave He said "In his **mother's** house", Agnes is not Seymour's mother, biologically or legally.
@@omidesuwave If you smell smoke, you're smelling fire since that's what fire smells like.
I suppose if she *saw* smoke but hadn't yet smelled it he could say "she didn't see, hear, smell, taste or feel fire" but "otherwise sense" is quite a stretch.
All the other uses of Red Truth in this video were really clever so it's sad to see that one is basically just lying.
Repeat it in red!
"Agnes Skinner is Principal Skinner's mother."
I bet you can't, can you?
Agnes Skinner is Seymour Skinner's mother. Seymour Skinner is undoubtedly born from Agnes Skinner.
There, I said it. What else can you say?
You didn't say it in red
@@HazhMcMoor Tricky, tricky. Then, repeat this:
"Agnes Skinner is Principal Skinner's mother. 'Principal Skinner' refers to the host of the luncheon!"

When please?
Seymour used small bombs which he put in the hamburgers. Those hamburgers stayed in the kitchen and were not brought to the table. The small bombs exploded, which started the fire.

You mad lad. You mad fucking lad.
You actually used the fact that Agnes isn't actually Principal Skinner's real mother in Simpsons lore for classic Red Truth fuckery.
I love this so much.
I really hate the fact that they casually decided that at some point, Principal Skinner was just some impostor they would treat as if he was always Principal Skinner, both for the fact that that casually exists and that coinicidence means you can make a misleading Red Truth of what happened in the Steamed Hams skit.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that no other RUclips video has ever brought me this much pure joy. The art styles, 'without love it can't be steamed', the red truths, the '0.000001%' Aurora Borealis narration, Game Master Skinner (Skinner-sama?), the SVT butler (and character bio on the pause menu), Skinner-sama taunting Meta Seymour's flailing arguments like the 'Unknown Ham X', the music choices... gosh, this is just so perfectly done. This is definitely the one true Steamed Ham meme fragment.
I'm glad you enjoyed it so much, but I encourage you to try the playable version, since it features things that aren't in the video.

You could *actually* use this video, with the original played after, to showcase how fantasy scenes in Umineko can be metaphors for the mundane events from an anti-fantasy perspective, and how the story's narration tricks work.
ikr
Thanks Haurchefant
unironically this scene spoils umineko entirely just because of how good it is as a representation of its mechanics. it is EXACTLY what would happen if you played the Steamed Hams scene as an umineko gameboard. it's so accurate it makes me upset sjfnskfn
@@Kirbita22 but only minor spoilers though? Or actual major spoilers?
@@nicbentulan It kind of functions as a how-to-read guide for umineko. It very plainly exposes HOW the narrative gets away with the shit it does. It's not like it flat out tells you the culprit or anything, but if someone watches/plays this fangame and then plays the original umineko, they're going into umineko with the kind of understanding of the mechanics that the game itself doesn't explicitly give you until the second half of the story.
Despite not actually having any gameplay or choices, Umineko feels a lot more interactive than many "real" games, with the "gameplay" in this case being just how the reader engages with the story and tries to solve the mysteries. This silly steamed hams meme is so well done that it ends up revealing a lot of the "tools" you'd usually only fully understand after a couple of hours of reading and thinking about the story, which is really funny to me
God you even got the wonky art style down pat.
And the exact phrasing and word choice style of the English translation!
@@AlexanderRM1000 Ryukishi07 will be proud of this piece of art
"Repeat in red: "Agnes Skinner, The woman in the house whose voice we have heard, is my mother." "
But how could Skinner get the burgers from krusty burger if chalmers had already murdered the employees, put their heads in bags and duct taped the restaurant closed shut??
LOL
I honestly thought the Megaman Battle Network one was the culmination of fandom-specific Steamed Hams, but this one gives it a run for its money. It really captures all the little meme aspects of Umineko while weaving it naturally into the Chalmers narrative
This is it, the ultimate steamed hams meme, the culmination of all of humanity's efforts, bravo!
And here I am again, this shit doesn't get old, I still can't get over how well crafted this is.
Damn that's good. This isn't just a brilliant meme and emulation of Umineko's style, but it's a perfect encapsulation of how Umineko's story works and *why* it is the way it is. I could write an essay about how well this parallels canon. I could make an eight hour youtube series with an incorrect explanation of how SEYMOUR'S red truth works. I won't, but I could.
nerdorama009 knownomore is right, rosatrice is the red truth
@@zawa8122 knownnomore's theory isn't even Rosatrice, it's Georgetrice just barely fudged enough to get around the red truth impossibility of George being the sole killer. He's a misogynist who can't deal with the idea of anything but a male mastermind.
Knownomore did knowthing wrong. The tree of truth has to spluttered with the blood of love. Rosa is NOT innocent and probably child abuser too. You can't beat me up for saying this.
@@tropismeholi7262 **PROBABLY** a child abuser?? She beats the shit out of her daughter in public in like the first two hours of the story. I can't think of any adult in Umineko who doesn't do something horrible to a child or directly enable it (Hideyoshi maybe?) and Rosa is *still* one of the obviously worst ones. She's not remotely innocent.
She's just also not Beatrice, or at least, not the one who planned the murders and speaks to Battler in the Meta-world.
@@tropismeholi7262 well, that's in Episode 8, which is a little more complicated than the others in terms of what is "real."
What you have to remember is that the "game boards" of the firdt 7 episodes can be considered fiction-within-fiction. In the world of Episode 1, Rosa physically abuses Maria. This event is observed by our reliable narrator, Battler, and confirmed repeatedly through unreliable narration from both Maria and Rosa as part of an established pattern. Within the reality of the game boards, Rosa is a child abuser.
However, the point and running theme of Episode 8 wad that the realities of the game boards are not necessarily the objective truth of Umineko's "reality". Everything we see in Episodes 1-7 is in-universe fiction or speculation. Rosa's characterization on the game boards may or may not be the objective truth of things that happened, and that's the point of her mini-speech to Erika. For the purposes of a hypothetical criminal charge in the "real world" of 1998, there's no evidence because everyone who might know is dead.
So I guess you are right in saying the actual person of Rosa in Ange's history was "probably" a child abuser, but the character of Rosa in the stories told through game boards is "certainly" a child abuser. It depends what level of metafiction we're presently on.
"I hope you're prepared for an unforgettable luncheon!☆"

Sad we couldn't see any blue truths used by the superintendent, but what can you expect from the level of competence of one who would use some unknown "Ham X" as an argument?
You know it's a good parody of Umineko when it doesn't give you a solution at the end

I thought this was way too over the top for a shitpost. Then at 7:32 Wingless started playing and I lost it about the smoke and the steam. Seriously this is too good for such a meme for such a certain small community.
"When they fry"
That made my day. Also, nice attention to detail. Skinner having a Vietnam service ribbon on his cloak was a really nice touch.

I love everything about this video. How perfectly it captures the style and atmosphere of Umineko, how it doesn't show the truth but instead show's Skinner's magical interpretation with the SVT, the game between the two, the memes intertwined from both series... Absolutely incredible. This is indeed delightfully devilish.
Absolutely amazed by this level of dedication. I doubt it'd go viral but it honestly has every rights to be.
Sadly I don't think Umineko is near popular enough for this to go "viral". Only people who have read the novels would be able to understand the references and hence find it amusing at all.

After learning about the 'untrustworthy narrator' in Umineko, I really appreciate/understand the waiter's segment because even if it never really happened (at least in the original) the game still shows characters that don't exist and shows their 'interactions' even though they never happened.
the servant manifestation of the oven is soooo good
I always kind of thought he was supposed to be based on Squeaky Voice Teen. Man that payoff in Episode 7 where we flashbacked to Krusty Burger, quite the shocking reveal~!
I'll say it BOLD:
*This is Prinicpal Skinner's house!*
That's not the reason, it is because Agnes is not actually Skinner's mother. Everyone thinks that she is but it was revealed in an infamous episode that the person we know as Skinner is not the original Skinner but he adopted that identity.
@@TheLostAge now repeat this in bold
*Agnes is the mother to skinner, skinner is principal skinner, who is the person that appeared in the luncheon*
But you can't witch
@@thesandvitchman1234 You can easily do this if you make it two statements and change the definition of "Principal Skinner" between them (one trick in Umineko works this way, so saying *"Anges Skinner is Seymour Skinner's mother."* and *"The person who served the Luncheon is Seymour Skinner."* is allowed.), you'd have to _really_ nail it down by saying...
_"Repeat it in red! When Anges Skinner said the house was on fire, she was lying! I bet you can't!"_
If Chalmers, Skinner and Agnes were the only people in that house today, that means the fire department never made it inside.
