I am on a roof right now. It’s a little chilly and I needed a little guidance. Thank you very much. Our exhaust fan has the exact same issue. Great video.
you just saved me, I was trying to run mine off with an air hammer and it would not go. I was thinking that there has to be an easier way to get one off, and this works flawlessly. thank you!
How do you put the whole pulley back on the shaft? I’m trying to do it right now on my orsssure washer but the bushing don’t fit even tho it’s the size
What if you don't have the bolts ... ? In other words I had one bolt sheer off doing exactly in this video so cuz the only way to get it off with the bolts or can it be pulled off some other way ? The key Pin , or Shaft pin needs to be all the way forwards, or has to be completely removed coming Forward off the motor shaft spline
Did the bolt sheer while removing it, unfortunately that happens pretty often, if you still have one bold able to push you can use a wedge on the other side and tap it in as you push with the other bolt
Yes, just make sure the threads are clean and draw it back on evenly moving back and forth between the bolts, I start the pully just slightly low as it will usually pull up a little
@@smalltownmachineshop6860 I was referring to the center spendle pulley on a 3blade deck (scag sthm 52"cut). I have since figured it out though. Thanks for reply..🙂
Does anyone know how he removed the pulley? I did not see how he did it, He called this how to remove the pulley but he never actually showed how to do it. Does anyone know what type of tool he could have used since he did not show us what tool he used?

Thanks and I’m glad you found it useful
Thanks for the video. It will help me with an exhaust fan at work.
I’m glad you found it useful
Thank you! This worked! I was able to remove a split tapered bushing on a 3hp compressor motor shaft and install on the replacement motor.
I’m glad you found it useful, thanks for watching

Thanks for taking the time to help us out!

If only I knew this 3 days ago... I wouldn't have used a bearing puller. Live and learn! Sharing with my friends.
Glad it helped and thanks for watching
Thank you, looks just like my splitter pulley I need to remove. Helpful

Awesome…Thanks for this simple explanation.
I was able to get it off, is it easy to get back on being tapered?

@@smalltownmachineshop6860 Sweet, thank you!
Man I'd give you a kiss on the mouth right now if I could. You just saved me so much trouble on a job
Glad you found the video useful
Need that separate video. It's a slow night for videos lol
Lol, I had to end up ordering a part for that mower so it will be a bit.
How do you remove the double pulley
The one on the back of the deck

I think its hard to install back on

Do you mean the part where the belt rides which I clearly showed or the whole spindle assembly
Show how to get the other piece off without a puller.
You can use wedges between the two pieces, I will see if I have a pully laying around and do a video on alternate methods
It’s best to run a tap and clean treads before trying to use pusher bolts
Excellent video if bolts hadn't broke inside it
now that's kool
Thanks, I hope you found it useful
