Good video Emin. From the looks of how loose those old belts were... that tower was probably screaming. Nice and quiet now..The residents of our fine city, thank you kindly.
👍 This is the same pulley/hub setup, used on my Vermeer tree chipper cutting drum. Been searching the web for hours about guidance on how to separate the two. The hub and pulley are rusted fast, stripped out the threads trying to separate the two. I will Helicoil then try again, but with heat this time. Soaking with penetrating oil for two days was no help.
Always enjoy watching your videos, we have the same tower BAC, lol, my belts are getting loud too, waiting on $$ to be approved, have to do same thing. You the man bro.
Muchas, muchas, muchas gracias. Los ingenieros de un laboratorio te agradecen enormemente. Estabamos bien weyes, jejeje. Thank you very very very much. The engineers of this lab are very gratefull, we sucked hehehe.
must be a trip going to different buildings, with different hvac setups. with every job you probably learn something new. subscribed my man keep up the good work.
Nice video Emin .. I also had this similar problem a few days ago but I found out the VFD was set on a low speed but the customer still insisted for us to greased the bearings on the motor and pillow block bearings on the shaft also replace the pulley and belts ..
Nice man. We have to do what ever the customer wants lol . One time a customer insisted for us to replace ten 10HP blower motors that were only 3 years old. They prolly did it for tax breaks lol
I’m changing my air compressor motor for the first time. The pulley inner diameter is slightly different in size. Should all bushings slide that easily onto the shaft as easy as the video? Should I heat up the the QD Bushing to expand it? I notice the inside of the pulley is tapered in
Been down that road before! I cannot understand why they don't make these pulleys in stainless steel to last! The steel sheaves just deteriorate with all the chemicals we use in cooling towers. Thanks for posting!
Not all startup tech know what they r doing emin. Just resetting to what they did. Could just be asking for future problems that makes u look bad. Spend a few n check alignment n tension. U can get trick with lasers on alignment but a string or straight edge work. Tension tool also
Thanks for the advise. I appreciate. However I know that wheel was aligned 200%correctly. I've been working on that tower for 3 years making other repairs. I wouldn't do that on a machine that I wasn't familiar with.
. I like to use a straight edge, however your correct on What your saying. I did double check the alignment just to make sure. Thanks again buddy appreciate the advise
200% what's that. 1/16" per ' of span. Or 1/4 " deflection means more. I like ur vids. I'm a startup tech but not a service guy i enjoy ur vids it's the side I don't see
Glad there are people like you on RUclips. You make trades easier to learn and perform.
You are spot on about not using impact wrenches for stuff like that. Way to go, and thanks for doing it the right way.
I appreciate your support Bud. Thank you for watching.
Good video Emin. From the looks of how loose those old belts were... that tower was probably screaming. Nice and quiet now..The residents of our fine city, thank you kindly.
Yeah that thing was screaming be for. That pully was so bad it was eating the belts and causing them to slip.
Thanks for this video. It answered my question about how to separate the hub and pulley right off. Awesome.
It's not often you get to see a master at work. Awesome video, thanks. You saved me a lot of time.
You have a excellent training skill that your young helpers enjoy learning from.
