Why does the game give you an MP bar if your abilities are tied to cooldowns?

certain skills use MP so the cooldowns are unrelated to their usage.

Good to know, I dislike cooldowns so much in action games, MP meters are superior

i checked the demo a few weeks ago and really didnt like it. maybe i am to old for this stuff.
anyway can you give us some insights on the upcoming SAO game - fractured daydream.
i heard rumors like you always level from 0 to whatever in each mission but also have some kind of character overall progression.
maybe you have some more infos?

If its still like it was in the 1st CBT i was in, then yes, each time you start a mission you begin at lvl 1 and gain exp by killing enemies in the field, completing objectives or when teammates kill enemies but with reduced gains. Just like League of Legends, by lvling up in the mission you can unlock your character's abilities and make them stronger up to a max of lvl 20 (if i remember correctly, its been a while). Now when you complete missions you get account/Character EXP that raises your account lvl. That is permanent. From what i've seen the main progression revolves around gear drops which you get from killing bosses at the end of missions. They come at different rarities/weapon types and elemental dmg so its RNG if you can use the gear you got with the character you want (I was playing Sinon who uses a sniper and i got a legendary sword so RIP). Each drop has a main stat and sub stats . Similar to other SAO games, while higher rarity means higher raw stats its does not always mean better cause sub stats play a massive role in character builds like reduced dodge cooldown/skill cooldown/skill dmg up/ elemental dmg type up etc. Hope that helps
