I’ve said several times to myself “I wish I had gone natural earlier just think were my length would be now” but truth is FOR ME I wasn’t ready you have to be dedicated to caring for your coils in order for them to flourish. So truth be told I embraced my natural coils when I was ready and it’s been two years now. The first time I tried to go natural it lasted less then a month.
As a fellow Caribbean girl who relaxed for most of my childhood I am loving this natural hair relationship with you and your mum! Building a similar relationship with my big sister! Love love love😍
OMG! I have a "special patch" in my crown area!! Please, do a tutorial on what you for your "special patch" and how to combat this. I think being natural it's great (1.5 year natural)! We get to be so versatile with our natural curls, waves, coils AND straight hair!! That is what is so AWESOME about OUR hair!! Thank you for your videos!
I have a special patch too. I baby that hair. When I’m not going anywhere, I section it off and twist it up. Like Alyssa and her mom said in the video, wash products make a huge difference, because shampoos can be too harsh and drying, so try some of the products they mentioned in the video. There are certain products that have helped rejuvenate my hair, such as Shea Moisture Daily Hydration 100% Coconut Oil shampoo & conditioner, Mane Choice Cool Laid Mellow Melon & Nectarine Melted Shine Oil, Oyin Burnt Sugar Pomade, and Texture ID leave in spray. Those products have made a huge difference for me. My hair is super soft, yet strong and breakage resistant.
🥰Loved this. I started my natural hair journey in 2020 (at age 45) when the pandemic shutdown the salons. Almost gave up, but your channel & Bianca Renee kept me on this journey. So glad I did 😊.
You and your mom are stunning!! 😍 I loved this video so much and I just love your content! My hair is actually like your moms, very tight curls and I’m so glad she shared her routine because I’ve actually been wondering what she uses! I’m inspired to try kinky curly now! Thanks so much for sharing and for also talking about appreciating our natural selves the way we are! ❤❤❤
Your mom is so stunning! What a beautiful lady, and you are her twin, beautiful ladies!!! I'm Trini, living in the US, loved seeing your momma and hearing her accent.
I love love this video. Love your Mom. 😍 You guys are so beautiful. Love how transparent you are, and full disclosure, you were my inspiration to go natural. It was after one of your videos where you spoke about loving yourself and loving your hair no matter the texture.❤️ Love you so much.
Oh how I LOVE your Mom. I see where your beauty comes from. I loss my Mom four months ago, and your relationship reminds me so much of mine and my Mom’s. Continue to exalt and cherish her!
Lol the truth about Caribbean parents, I chopped my hair for the first time ever in my life 2 weeks ago, at the grown age of 27, and my mother who was born + raised in St. Thomas Jamaica was so mad she didn’t speak to me for a whole day🤣
Wow, I feel like mommy , all knew was relaxed as a child, waiting to 50 😩 to go natural .. I can’t believe I wasted years, the product hunting is overwhelming, you wash your hair 4 times before you get it right
I Love this i did big chop 3 times i am over 50 mt daughter all her hair came out I never relaxed my daughter's hair she had long beautiful hair when she was young she visited her father his wife relaxed my daughter hair i was so angry my daughter hair came out it took me a while to nurse back to health. My daughter now has loc's I truly Love your relationship ❤
I got tired of running to a salon and paying so much money, only to go back with a few weeks because the back was very short and grew out so fast. Can't have straight in the front and naptime in the back. I have vowed that when I reached 70, I'd get a cropcut and go natural. Instead, I'm a bit early 66 and didn't cropcut, but waited till the relaxer was almost out (about 1") and cut it off myself and stopped the blow drying and flat ironing. It's been 2 years since I've gone natural and I am still learning how to style my hair. I get a lot of compliments on it. Btw, you and your mother are beautiful. I almost wished my mother was still here, but it's okay, cuz she kept shit going. RIP.
I have been Natural for 11 years and I love it. I used Cantu Grow Strong treatment and some of Elite Haircare Products. And my hair has grown since I have been using those products.
We have learned how to take care of our curls and our curls flourish as a result. I flat ironed my hair this past weekend and will get bored with it real quick but change is good and I know how to protect my strands during that one pass of that flat iron. Bianca Renee just did a detailed review of the Bond Bar line at Sally Beauty and trust and believe I will buy the entire kit and my curls will bounce right back as yours will too!
I have the “special patch”which I grew to love. I went natural in 2014 and I have no regrets. I’m in love with my hair! Once you show love to your hair it responds! You and your Mom, enjoy your hair journeys ❤
My goodness, yall look just alike!!! You are seeing what you will look like at your moms age. This was a really good video. Love how beautiful your relationship is. Always cherish each other. Yall have something special. God Bless U Both!!!
I'm late to the game but did her mother say she's retired? Oh my goodness, she absolutely cannot be age related retired. If she's in her late 50s, straight up, I'm jealous!
I love that lip color on your mom! Tell her that that is her color! It looks like either Fenty Glow OR Fu$$y but whatever the case, it looks awesome on her! Also, I love, love, love that Camille Rose orange bottle of mouse! You two are so cute together, I love y'alls energy!
