When I started watching this 4 years ago I was a janitor and I listened to this while cleaning. Then I got a job that paid better but was quite stressful, and I listened to this on my long commute. Now I have a job where I get to work from home and I’ve been listening to this while at the gym or catching Pokémon. Time flies, and it’s been a hell of a journey. Thanks for all the laughs, tears, and fond memories.

Monty didn't drop her dice once, and Roll20 bestowed unprecedented levels of Nat 20's. I think the moral is clear, the digital dice have been seeking revenge for their physical Die-Hard brethren falling to the floor. Now that they've been appeased, they play nice.

I kept it short on twitch, but here I'll say more.
To Monty, you are an inspiration in my world for D&D.
To Borky, who taught me there's always a light of fun in the dark depths.
To Greckles, whose past does not define him, but their current self and their morals that do.
To Panic, who no longer is dust drifting directionless divine and found strength to make lifelong connections.
To Task, while we may risk losing everything, we stand to gain so much more in finding peace.
To Remy, a wall against those who oppose but has opened to their loved ones.
And to each of you as people, I've loved getting to know you as people and see you change and grow same as these beloved characters have.
I believe in you in this final fight, I will keep my eyes out for more campaigns.
I still remember the days when the first episode came out and I would spend my nights playing BotW when it first came out and I would listen to you all. You helped me fall in love with D&D, helped me back into storytelling, helped me meet some of my closest friends. Long car rides. College. My best days and my worst. 4 years later and no other show, movie, or other form of media has made me cry tears of joy or sorrow, feel rage alongside the characters, or fill me with inspiration as much as you all have. Not just once, but repeatedly, even when I rewatch your sessions.
    Thank you, so very much.
    Enjoy your well deserved break.
    I love you all.

I started watched this while stocking shelves at Wal-Mart. While they were on episode 7. Caught up to them and fell in love with the story. Joined the marines and kept listening through the time being. Pretended to to Primarch Vulkan for giggles. Developed depression that the Unexpectables pulled me out of time and time again. Met this girl on tinder while they were still getting Orky with Borky. Didn't know squat about DnD and only listened for the story...
Now... at the end of our story. Witnessing it with you all that remain of the RUclips Group... from start to finish I witness the end of a truly memorable story. I work off-shore on ships, I'm getting married November 27th, I now know how to play 1E, 3.5E, and 5E with 2 groups of buddies... how times have changed since then.
    I'll miss you all.

Throughout high school and beyond, The Unexpectables always gave me something to look forward to. And now something to look back on. This is the first series to inspire my writing as much as it has, and the only series to, well, bring me genuine joy listening to. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for this beautifully written, beautifully executed rollercoaster of emotions. So, this may be a bit personal but:
I started watching the Unexpecrables after seeing the animatic of Borky with Azra at the tower. My brother had showed me it in an attempt to cheer me up after having just had my life turned on it's head. Really bad breakup. Over the last three years I had struggled with that relationship and my own mental health and only recently I have started to find my self worth and ironically enough, it was partially thanks to this stupid show. I started watching it and immediately fell in love with the characters and the cast. I loved the world Monty had created and just fell in love with everything. It was the passion and fun that everyone was displaying that got me back into DnD properly. I started working on my own homebrew. Met some amazing friends who have supported my endeavors to get back into gaming and even writing. Even joining me on the adventure. It's hard to think that, even though I came in late to the party, this series has helped keep me smiling and laughing and inspired. Thanks Monty, Zito, Bosco, Gaijin, and Discord. You guys brought some laughter and inspiration to someone who was in a seriously rough spot and I thank you so much for it.

To be honest, I was a little afraid of watching The End, even when it first appeared on my sub box. I put this off so much because I didn't want to see the end of what I basically grew up watching. However, now that I have, I'm glad. Glad to see this ever-evolving story reach its conclusion and the happy ending we have waited for. This was four years of absolute hilarity, amazing adventures, and times I will remember for a long time. Thank you for all the great times you have given us in this campaign, and hope's to seeing more of this world, even if we don't see the characters we have fallen in love with. On a brighter note, I can binge this now.

Dude 200 episodes... This entire episode was epic from start to finish and I found myself almost in tears from the feelings I felt from the messages from everyone before each boss battle. And the final episode being a boss rush? I dont think I've ever heard of something like that in a D&D campaign before and it was just awesome and epic.
This has been my favorite D&D campaign by far. Thank you all for giving countless hours of your lives for our enjoyment. It's been an absolutely wild ride and I'm so glad I discovered this campaign.
And I just want to say, this campaign has been one of my inspirations to start creating my own fantasy setting, and I hope to one day write a book or series of books about my characters' adventures in those books. Thank you, Monty. And thank you, Unexpectables.

Loved it and so going to miss this hilarious journey. And no spoilers from me. But i wanted to give my take on how the ending would have been and I would like to hear people's thoughts on it as well as their own takes.
Different take on the boss fight with The End. They complete their battle, reduce The End's hit points to zero. The realm begins to shake as The End howls in pain, body twitching, and victory is in their grasp. Then, a flash of light, and when it fades, The Unexpectables are on a dark platform above Alivast and the Attic, as the darkness slowly engulfs the Attic and the crystals. Laughter is heard from the End, familiar laughter. Coming out of the High District, comes this black dash that over takes The End, as the solar eclipse grows into a black sun. A familiar voice echoes over the city, "It is good to be back~. And I must say, my old ex-favorite toys are here to greet me~." Devouring The End and achieving a new form is Stillhavity. Stillhavity, "Thought you got rid of me? Thought you saved Orun? Well, you almost did. You see, you lot aren't the only ones with an aspect of that being!" Monty would explain that they can clearly see clerics, paladins, and even Orun Aasimir losing their powers across the city. Stillhavity, echoing across the city, "Guess it is time to stop giving those moronic clergymen the stolen power of Orun! Though, it is because of them that their God is dying! The fool should have just let me kill him! But you lot ruined it! Now, it is time I ruin you!" An encounter happens where the party is overwhelmed as below them, those who had the black tar like substance like Athtar explodes off of them and turns them into monsters, as a few appear on the platform and fights the party. Beaten and broken, the party is left helpless as Stillhavity laughs. Only (perception check and it makes sense for these two to pass) for Remy and Task to turn at the sound of flapping wings. Leading the charge of Silver Dragons is Borky on either Volo or Tarusk, don't know which would be funnier, screaming, Borky, "It's time to get Orky! It's time to get Borky! AHHHH!" Landing, more like falling, Borky lands next to the party and slashes a Stillhavity spawn. With either Remy or Task going at Borky for riding their friend into battle, Borky gives the party a speech to inspire them. With the party feeling their will rise, the Attic and the crystals shine brightly. Lys, "And you shall not do this alone! Alone!" Each one gaining new powers based off of their character development and the one shot sessions. They stand together against Stillhavity and his minions for the final battle.
Their gifts: Borky getting a Legendary Action to have an ally attack an enemy, based off of his accomplishments with the Orc tribes. Due to Lily's victory, Borky gets Totem Warrior's Bear effects with his level with his rage as well as his normal rage bonuses.
Remy, from the Merkz, he gains silver wings for a flight speed. He also gains a combat support ability, while flanking in the air with an ally, he suffers a minus 5 to the roll (so a minus 3 due to flanking), on a hit, both Remy and his ally will deal damage (no sneak attack), on a roll of 19, his ally gets a crit. This is due to his support with the group, always setting them up for victory in combat.
Panic, from Rat's victory, Catharsis gets an axe blade and becomes a 1d8+Charisma+1d4 Thunder damage melee weapon. And from his heritage, Panic can inflict only his enemies with Resin.
Task, from Obby's victory, gains the ability to have a fire dragon breath weapon, with the d6 recharge. And from his connection to Azra Sahar, can attack the same amount as she could in a turn with her extra attack.
And Greckles, from Seika and saving the elemental planes, the Sunblade does increased dice damage and he does 2d6 in fire damage with every attack he makes.

Let me just take the time out to say how much I personally enjoyed this campaign! I was introduced to it through Gaijin Goomba’s Which Ninja episode on Greckles, getting invested after finding an animatic featuring Borky and Azra Sahar, and ended up staying around for all the fun I was having. It was like waking up early on Saturday mornings or rushing home from school to catch the newest episode of your favorite show all over again (This is DEFINUTELY one of my favorite shows). This was just over 2 years ago, and it helped me get through so much: the COVID lockdown, losing a job, finding a new one, being sick with COVID, and all the other little things along the way. I am sad to see it go, but I am so happy that I got to experience it. So, to the main cast, the special guests, the sponsors, and to the DM- thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you to all the wonderful members of the Unexpectables crew, the players main and guest, Monty for being a great DM, Austin for editing togther these multi hour masterpieces and the legions of artists who gave life to the world Monty dreamed up. And lastly, thank you to the fans who made this such an amazing fandom to be part of.
We came to this world of wonder, like no other, under the rising sun. All the people gathered desprate but as one. We saw our heroes rising, galvanising, fighting for the day. Not what we expected but heroes all the same. Now, sound out the trumpest and break down the lights, magic and mystery and wonder taken flight, this world full of danager had much to provide, and now the end of this chapter has arived. With song, shield, and arrow, and a bright sunlight blade. They rose up to battle and chelenged their fate. they vanquished great eviles and now saved the day, as this unexectable journey concludes.

Welcome to Pi's Nit-Picks where for personal reasons I go through new episodes of The Unexpectables and nit-pick it of any instance where how they play and RAW don't line up in a cinemasins-esque manner.
Spoiler alert: because of how this works, I might have to go into spoiler territory but I'll try to be subtle about it.
    Disclaimer:
I am not telling anyone how to play dungeons & dragons. It's their game, not mine.
These are not criticisms, these are nit-picks.
I’m not trying to antagonize anyone, I’m a fan just like you.
    Nit-Picks:
42:25 : Panic should've made a concentration check to maintain concentration on his spell.
    44:40 : Task rolled 31 damage, not 33
47:20 : You regain the use of your reaction at the beginning of your turn, not at the beginning of the round, so Greckles would have access to his reaction.
1:01:20, 2:14:15, 3:41:40 : Using Shield Master, you can only choose to take no damage when you succeed on a Dexterity saving throw.
1:32:45 : Believe it or not, but the DMG has a rule for climbing on a bigger creature on page 271: “A suitably large opponent can be treated as terrain for the purpose of jumping onto its back or clinging to a limb. After making any ability checks necessary to get into position and onto the larger creature, the smaller creature uses its action to make a Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check contested by the target's Dexterity (Acrobatics) check. If it wins the contest, the smaller creature successfully moves into the target creature's space, the smaller creature moves with the target and has advantage on attack rolls against it.
The smaller creature can move around within the larger creature's space, treating the space as difficult terrain. The larger creature's ability to attack the smaller creature depends on the smaller creature's location, and is left to your discretion. The larger creature can dislodge the smaller creature as an action-knocking it off, scraping it against a wall, or grabbing and throwing it-by making a Strength (Athletics) check contested by the smaller creature's Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check. The smaller creature chooses which ability to use.”
    1:34:48 : Half of 38 is 19
    1:42:28 : A creature would take 3d6 damage after falling 30 feet.
1:46:35, 2:32:30, 5:07:15 : You can only deal damage from Colossus Slayer once per turn.
2:22:55 : Of the numerous advantages Truesight gives you, automatically being able to detect a hidden creature is not one of them.
3:02:00 : Bardic inspiration does specify that it has to be used on a creature that can hear you.
3:08:50 : Task would lose concentration on Hunter’s Mark as he is incapacitated.
3:57:35 : Greckles would’ve been able to use sneak attack on his opportunity attack.
4:12:40, 5:17:00 : Cure Wound cast at 3rd level would heal 3d8 + your spellcasting ability modifier.
4:19:40 : Gift of the Chromatic Dragon doesn’t replace all of the attack’s damage type.
5:04:35 : Saving throws do not automatically fail on a natural one.
Also, I’ve been doing these nit-picks for well over a year now, and if you’ve been paying attention you’ll have noticed that I mention that I do these for “personal reasons” at the beginning of each set of Nit-Picks, and I think the time is right to tell you all the three main reasons why I started.
The first reason is pretty simple, I wanted to teach others and even myself about the rules as written. I think I not only succeeded in this regard, but I think I also learned that following every single rule religiously is an unattainable standard and that knowing when to bend or even break the rules is just as important as knowing the rules themselves.
The second reason is that I wanted a place in the community of The Unexpectables, I can’t draw amazing artwork or throw ridiculous sums of money into the show, but I knew I was good at rules and I tried my hand at being known as “the rules guy”. I think I fulfilled my second reason when, during the elemental planes arc, I got a shoutout from Bosco, and I got my 10 minutes of fame, and I’m content with that.
The third reason is the big one, the reason why I resolved to follow through with Pi’s Nit-Picks no matter what happened. I was a part of the Unexpectables Discord server over a year ago and I didn’t have the idea for Pi’s Nit-Picks back then, but I still had a great respect for the rules but the server had a really strong policy of “no backseating” which caused some friction between me and them, I felt like they didn’t understand where I was coming from, that they thought that all I wanted to do was make the players play how I wanted them to play, I tried to tell them that it wasn’t the case and I wasn’t like that, but my words gained no purchase. There were times where I thought I had gotten some mutual understanding, but it wasn’t enough. I came up with Pi’s Nit-Picks as a sort of therapy, I figured the best thing to do was to go to the RUclips comment section and take on a demaener on respectfulness, in hopes it would be reciprocated in turn, and it worked, I found the the comments are simply the best place for me to be, but that doesn’t mean I don’t still want to be a part of the server; I feel like now that I have a place to put my Nit-Picks all the things that once caused friction are gone, but since I was banned from the server before I started Pi’s Nit-Picks, any chance I had at recovering my reputation over there is gone and i think that’s a shame.
If The Unexpectables decide to do a second campaign, I don’t know if I’ll do another Pi’s Nit-Picks for it, simply because I have no need for it anymore. But nothing’s certain, and only time will tell.

I don't really have many good things to say about the Discord as well. A couple of the mods seem very trigger happy with scoldings and warnings and this is coming from a spectator who never even talked in there.
The community's great but the Mod Team is painfully adamant about the most insignificant things.
