the only way for subaru to really die would be a G.O.D using hakai to deck him, if that doesn't happen then theres honestly a (small) chance of him surpassing goku and vegeta, ki gets stronger from a few things, and that includes the spirit, so rbd will give past subaru his future strength and or techniques, then its a matter of his past body not being able to handle it, but a senzu or a wish relating to regen would constantly make him stonger
I think he would get stronger for sure especially training with Whis along with goku and vegeta and motivation from Vegeta. Also don’t forget self love from Goku
