Hi Jamie My grandmother used to bake cookies and make candy for Christmas. My mom made home made nut rolls and cinnamon rolls to give as gifts and we also had them at home. I am not a baker but i do bake a little. I am more of a savory cook. It is one of my favorite things to do. Happy Holidays to you and your family.
I had chocolate chips, peanut butter chips and chocolate chips. I made a batch of regular cookie dough, divided into thirds...then added chips to each batch. Scooped out dough balls, froze and put into freezer bags. It's just me here now, so I make just a couple when I want them.
My mama used to make coconut balls with chocolate on them. Peanut butter balls with chocolate on them. Peanut butter ritz crackers with chocolate on them. Turtles which are pretzels with caramel on the inside. Chocolate on outside. They were delicious

That’s a great idea to lower holiday stress levels. I really dislike making cookies, but I like the idea of doing all the prep shared if time!

My Mama always used to double the recipe. I had 4 brothers. Cookies never lasted very long in our house. I think brownies are my favorite cookies.

I've done it before! I think I used cookie cutters to cut them into shapes and froze them that way before baking.
