I am binging your shows to try to get caught up and I don't normally comment on such an old video, but I just had to say (before I forgot) that I admire the men in your family. Although it should be more the norm, it is refreshing to hear about the men in your life. Your husband does the sweeping and vacuuming, your father doing a deep clean of the kitchen after you and your mom do a huge prep or cooking day, your brother-in-law who cooks to contribute to a family feast, your husband's friend who can make focaccia bread, Josh doing his own laundry and not leaning on you to do that, even though you work from home, etc. I notice that stuff when you post it and I LOVE that for you and your family. They all sound like quality men and that's so nice to see not just one example, but many.
I love your channel and I wish only good things for you and your family.

I got married back in 1975. I’m old. Lol. I was gifted a KitchenAid Mixer on a stand. I loved it. Used it all the time. I’ve moved so many times. I don’t have that now. I cannot remember what I did with it. Can’t remember if it broke. I have been without it for over 25 years. The other night a Black Friday special from QVC (yes. Im addicted) popped up in my emails. It was SUCH AN AMAZING DEAL!!!! I bought myself a Christmas present! My first one was a ‘70s Gold color. Red is my favorite color. Yep, I got a red one. Now every time you pull out your mixer, I get excited. Mine will be here next week. Yay!!!♥️♥️♥️

Hi Becky! You know, you could spoon out 1/4 of the cookie dough and put your nuts in and keep them separated while baking, so YOU can have your cookies WITH nuts while keeping the main balance of the dough without nuts. My family didn't like chocolate chips in cookies (the horror!), so I only put them in the portion of the dough I made cookies for just ME! The balance was baked without chips.

Becky I used to read a lot of blogs before discovering what was on RUclips. Many of these individual bloggers have gone on to write award winning cookbooks.I still do read my favorite blogs. One of the big recommendations from many was to chill cookie dough before scooping them onto sheets to bake. The recommendation was to place your dough in the fridge to chill allowing the fats to cool. As a result, the cookies will expand more slowly, holding onto their texture. Chill anywhere from 24 to 72 hours but shorter times also help. The longer you chill the dough, the more flavor will develop. The flour will also absorb more of the moisture so the thicker and chewier the final texture will be. It is better chilled in the fridge. It is the same technique when making puff pastry and pie crusts. I just place my whole bowl in the fridge. I am discovering this is really important when using ancient grains.

@@kathyharper7187 yes! I found it was a mix of melting the butter too far, not creaming the butter and sugar enough, and needing to refrigerate! Now I just do those things and they come out wonderful. The spread out cookies are good too, but I'm glad I figured it out

I had the same issue for awhile and then I realized that Walmart butter had liquid in it. They don’t drain off all the whey when they make the butter. I suppose they do it to save money but I started using name-brand butter and it solved the problem…

Try adding dried cranberries and white chocolate chips (and toasted chopped walnuts) to your cinnamon oatmeal cookies. My absolute favorite 'healthy' cookie. You can leave the nuts out when you make the dough and just add a few to yours when you bake them. That way you get the nuts you enjoy and Josh gets his without.

Becky I know you are due just about Amy day & have done this videos in advance. Just want you to know I will be thinking & praying for you, the baby, Josh, your fur babies & those involved. I’m your care & delivery. I know this is new & scary but I have faith all will be as God has planned. Best advice I can give is listen to your body. If you are tired & the baby is napping then take a nap as well. It will be an adjustment but, women & families have been doing this for years. You will figure out what works best. ❤. Take care of yourself & when you have family offer to come watch the baby so you can rest….take them up on it. Especially your family that have all had babies before. They have been there & know exactly what you are going through. God bless you all & thank you
For the continued videos. I really enjoy watching your content & listening to you. Very relaxing after a 12 hour shift in a Children’s ER. PS….with RSV so bad I’m sure all your family will understand NOT to kiss the baby. It is heartbreaking to see & hear these babies trying to breath.

Hi Becky, I found these recipes very interesting, my kids would have loved them, such a good idea to use that small ice cream scoop to make sure your cookies were all the same size.
Years ago, when we lived in Canada, my Mum used to have a making day when she would make cookies for us to take to school and Dad to take to work. She would make up several different kinds but they would be made into logs and wrapped in baking paper, then saran wrap before freezing, then when she wanted to cook them she would just slice off the number she wanted, then re wrap and in 10 to 15 minutes she had a batch of fresh cookies in whatever flavour we wanted. They were great, so much better than the store brought ones. Take care xx
