FUEL Series 30 Min QUAD FOCUSED Leg Workout | Day 6

- Packed with compound movements to involve the entire lower body but with the emphasis towards the quads!
During Bulgarian lunges, squats, and lunges, try to stay as upright as possible, and resist the urge to tilt forward the more you fatigue during the iso squat!
The timer will be on for 45 seconds of work with 15 seconds rest in-between each set!
We have 9 exercises within the circuit, and we simply perform the circuit 3 times!
We have 45 seconds rest in-between each circuit!
All you will need for this workout is a pair of dumbbells, your mat, a bench / sturdy chair for Bulgarian lunges and a yoga block / wedge/ small step to perform heel elevated squats!
The dumbbells I am using throughout are 2 x 15kg each! You can absolutely use a variety here, even heavier on lunges if you prefer and/or lighter during heel elevated squats for example!

This finisher is a lovely wee way to finish the quads for the day! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Please join me for a cool down after or you can absolutely spend that bit longer gently stretching the hip flexors & quadriceps and cooling down.
I love playing with the angles and stance of movements to focus more on a certain muscle(s) and today it hit those thighs!

Fuel was the first workout program I did with Caroline just about a year and a half ago. I remember thinking this woman is nuts if she thinks I'm going to be able to that! I actually vividly remember doing this workout the first time and saying "I'm not going to make it." Today, I completed this with so much more success because I've been training with Caroline for the last 18 months. Keep going!

Possibly the most time defying workout ever - it felt like we had only just started when the finisher popped up. That doesn't mean it was easy though, my quads are shaking!

So I thought Caroline’s been exceptionally nice today! 💖💞💕💓💗Only the first 3 exercises of each circuit with weights & then body weight! I gave 120% for the 1st 3 exercises but it didn’t get any easier 😅. But time does fly - a fantabalous workout💖🥳😍thank you Caroline!
It’s leg day and circuits...a combination that I’m sure many of us really enjoy! It’s certainly going to burn and my experience tells me to beware of the bodyweight moves at the end of the circuit! Morning Mattew! This will be a burning and funny monday!!! I love circuits 'cause ripetitions helps to feel confident with the moves but especially to increase muscles strenght.... The perfct way to start the week!!! So have a nice workout and a beautiful day!
Morning, Matthew. We don't often do quad specific session, but when we do it is intense! Hands down, my favourite quad workout so far- I loved the exercises and that it was mostly bodyweight. People often like to complain that they can't workout because they don't have either time or access to the gym. I think that Caroline's workouts are testimony that you don't have to workout for hours to get results and that for the most part your own body is the best machine.
I knew it is going to be hard when we have only complited one round of the circuit and my legs were toasted. I love the pre-exhaustion method with weights. But I was not fooled that bodyweight moves would be any easier. Squat walk was a burner and that cheeky isometric 30 sec hold really made it for me.
12/10 session for me! 4*4 abs burned but it was enjoyable.

I am feeling so energised after that session! Circuits make a workout go so quickly. I love that I am able to still lift my heaviest weight for my squats and lunges in between movements that are getting my heart rate elevated. Happy Monday everyone❤

This workout was fire! A few things I've noticed since I started doing Caroline's workouts last summer - I'm getting well practiced at pushing through my mental barriers and asking my body to preform when I feel like I can't do another rep. I recently went on a climbing trip and noticed that I'm much braver and willing to try hard than I used to be. There are many factors, but I think these workouts are a big one. My body is strengthening but so is my mind. Also, when I get up in the morning to do Caroline's workouts, doing PT exercises on my shoulder after the workout is done feels like nothing compared to what I've just done. I've been doing Caroline's workouts and, therefore, PT regularly and my shoulder is improving. Yay!
So nicely said! I feel for you with your shoulder. I broke mine 2 years ago and I have made much more progress with rehabilitating it with Caroline than I ever did with PT!
Fuel is so tough. I cease to exist for a while after each workout. It's gonna be a challenging next 5 weeks, but I love these workouts so much.

FUEL is probably my favourite workout series
Challenging in all the best ways! I increased my weight from previous days and sheez I feel it. Love that already on day 6 I’m seeing some muscle definition I thought was lost forever at age 53. 😊
So delighted to see another week coming. I normally am intimated by a Caroline cardio/Hiit day but I attempted day 5 yesterday and didn’t die 😅. I’m more confident with this series contrary to what I thought at the start of day 1. If I can do it, we will all smash this everyone 🤗

Day 6 + HIIT done! A person, who does not exercise much before has started to love your program since I found them years ago. I am still here, building strength with your programs. However, this time, I am adding diet with it. Thank you lots and we move forward to the next day.

Morning Philippa I hope you didn't go up in flames😂 wasn't it a sizzler. Loved it all. Great to have the weights earlier in workout but b/w was no easier. Was a real challenge but so good after it all. Finisher was hard going into those lunges after squats was hard. Glad you enjoyed 👏👏

I enjoyed the body weight too, it was good to put in some slight adjustments for the time under tension Caroline mentioned. My quads & hams are without doubt improving! My balanced non-wall sit was better than expected I’ve a feeling the Iron Series has improved my conditioning leading into this. I love it when I think, "oh there are some bodyweight moves; maybe it will be slightly easier than her others."....hahahahaha why do I still think this after doing so many programs with Caroline?!?! It will NEVER be EASIER or lighter or less demanding!!! This is my 2nd go around with this programs and it's STILL HARD! Her workouts are always just CRAZY!

Day 6 Smashed! Phew..Quads were Destroyed 😅. First Round already felt the Burn. 2nd, Legs were Shaking. Then on..told my Legs "You can do it! You're Stronger!". Pushed through and it feels Amazing. Fun Finisher. Solid Sweaty Quads Sesh! Enjoyed it lots! Also did the 4×4 Abs wo add-on.

Caroline Girvan never disappoints. This was fast. The body weight moves were a burner! 💥🦵🦵. I just loved it. I used 2x15kg Dumbbells. And so I decided now that my goal is to burn fat while defining muscles, I added Caroline´s 20 MIN Demanding HIIT workout. And NO I won't be adding a HIIT session everyday, most of the time I add a cardio-based workout.

After finishing EPIC 3 I decided to go back to the gym in April...The pandemic kept me home long enough :) But once in a while I really enjoy doing your workouts at home. Loved this work out and the circuit format! Time went by quick and the exercises chosen were perfect! I loved the weighted section first to burn the quads then body weigh! The finisher had my quads dying!! Went a bit lighter today as my legs are still feeling fatigued!!
Round 2 of fuel. Used 11.5kg each today. Legs are my weakness. I try to go a bit lighter so I can concentrrate on my form.

This one was insane and I loved it!!!! My legs are shaking :') I thought this one would be easier when you said we were not gonna use dumbbells in most of the exercises but this was way harder than the first leg routine!
I LOVE how you add all the body weight exercises! You have taught me how effective and how deep of a burn I can get by utilizing those underestimated body weight moves especially after the heavy weights in the beginning of the circuit! Omg I completed in afternoon it was too much sweaty I paused twice to catch the breath and took 1 min rest before last circuit my quads 🔥 🔥🔥 after finisher and I tried abs add on but failed after 6 mins man it was not easy. Over all I am enjoying the Fuel series and first time I follow along your series because as a beginner and chronic patient it's a lot for me I am hypothyroid, vit d, vit b and calcium defecient, prediabetic and also facing cervical nerve compression. But I am happy enough I can do this. Love you Caroline Girvan

If you are looking at the comments before you do this workout wondering how hard it is going to be, I will just say this: you're not going to scream or cry during this workout. The burn is so intense you won't have the energy to do anything but bite your knuckles and pray. The only thing getting me through the last 3 intervals of the circuit was knowing how amazing I would feel after. Oh, and enjoy the first 3 intervals of the circuit with your weights because they are a relief in comparison to the bodyweight intervals. Am currently spending some quality time with my foam roller in hopes I will be able to walk tomorrow. 🤪
I absolutely LOVED this! I always have a problem of wanting to go heavier for lower body workouts but being limited by my upper body not being able to hold it up for longer durations. I felt like this was the perfect Combination of weights and bodyweight training. I could also fix my posture all through. Fantastic workout! Thank you Caroline !
Day 6 in the books! I'm so tired from week 1 that I just did bodyweight. I was still heavy breathing!! Keep pushing yall!!! Consistency is the only thing that gets results.

Woke up today wanting to do some cardio and I almost did Day 5 again because I loved it, but I'm glad I did this one instead, because it also felt like a cardio session, feeling great, thank you Caroline!

I think I started crying at the end of circuit 1 🥲 my god this one was HARD.
I know just done it today for the first time and I’m sitting down to think about what I’ve just gone through 😅
I definitely had jelly legs after this one. It killed my quads. Oh 2nd day burn is gonna be tough😅
Came back for it this week…. I ate a little later into the night than desired, yesterday… halfway through this didn’t feel very good 😂

Caroline’s video ends with the question, ‘did you enjoy that work out?’ Weeeeelllllll, I nearly died finishing it, so ummm…..And also, yes, I enjoyed getting to the end and knowing I can do it. That felt great!
I love that with this series Caroline has incorporated the cardio into each day. It gives me so much energy for the entire day and I love breaking a serious sweat! I loved the circuit format for this one as well. It becomes tougher and tougher with each circuit and forces you to pay attention to form over everything else.
Almost a week behind, and definitely feeling the intense challenge of the FUEL series. It's like each successive workout just pushes you of the comfort zone a bit more than the previous one. But the energy and exhilaration post-workout is worth the discipline to push thru no matter how taxing it gets...
Had a 3 day rest and missed Sunday so 5 & 6 done. Loved these 2 workouts. Don't think I sweat this much in a long time. Thank you Caroline! Will see how my legs feel tomorrow. Can't wait to do upper body tomorrow!Have a good night!

How is it possible that EVERy WORKOUT is my favorite?!!! I added weights to this even on the body weight parts ! A great challenge for sure...progressive lifting!
I cried through half of this workout. Today is just not my day as I am usually good with legs, but today I just felt sucky, but not wanting to disappoint myself or Caroline(as if she is watching me) I completed it sobbing like a baby. Now for the add on.

Burner for sure! Definitely took more rest breaks than Caroline did, and I used slightly lighter weights (1 lb less). But I made it through and feel great. Kept telling myself by the second round: “ok, only have one more of these” It’s definitely is mind over pain!

What a great workout with lots of variety! Amazing how hard body weight only moves can be. Hope we’ll see some more targeted bicep moves in upcoming workout. Loving the 30 min sessions 😃

This programme is delivering in so many ways. Yes, this flew by and makes you welcome the Bulgarian lunges!. Heart rate up, quads ( and glutes) on fire 🔥. I’m definitely coming back to this series after I’ve completed the iron and beast mode series… loving it. Forever great full 🙏🙏❤️❤️
My favourite of FUEL so far. Loved the mix of weights and bodyweight. Managed 15kg, didn't think I'd be able to, and wasn't far off the mighty CG's pace!

Good workout. Added a heavy band for the squat waddle walks and did just grab some dumbbells for the last round of bodyweight. I loce your impeccable form and you did motivate me to get all the way down in the front lunges in the finisher, knee touching floor, and not just "phone it in" as Jillian Michaels says. Terrific workout. Thanks!
