Hogue clearly states the HRC on their Magnacut on the Deka at 62-64, but the Bestech does not. Cheaper could also mean softer and less desirable. HRC matters for knowing what kind of performance to predict.
That’s true. My only argument is that I have never seen a Magnacut by any manufacturer at less than 60. Crucible Industries says that 60-62 is the optimal hardness for Magnacut. So I don’t think this would be a problem.
There are some Chinese companies that are well known for their high quality. There are also some that are just junk. At the same time I’ve seen quality issues with some American production knives. Now handmade and boutique American knives are generally great but cost prohibitive for a lot of people. I have over a hundred knives at different price points and American and Foreign makers. I’ve seen good and bad amongst all of them.

I don't get the hate for Chinese made knives.
Thank you for sharing.
I don’t get it either. I have a mix of USA and imported knives. If a knife is good it’s good. I don’t care where it’s made.
It’s their consistency on the heat treat. I’d rather have 14c28n at 60hrc then Mag at 58 etc.
@@S1ewwBestechman and Bestech are known for the quality of their knives. I have never had a problem with any of their products.
@@lancephilip I’m answering where the hate comes from. It’s a guessing game when you buy with some of those companies.
