I think I’m going to do everything except disabling any devices/drivers in device manager. I use OneDrive and iCloud and Google drive and I just want to make sure that they are still running properly even though I know they can consume resources. Can’t wait to start applying these changes after I creat a system image. Thanks and love your channel! ❤
Thanks for comment, u can try disabling the HPET (high precision event timer). It's not going to impact cloud drives, for some reason, Ryzen CPUs struggle with it enabled and may give you some micro-stuttering. You can try it, but you don't need to disable the rest of the virtual devices.
Just bought an ally and have nothing but problems. Ive done all the tips and tricks to boost performance. The ENTIRE system is up to date and i can barely get over 20fps in any game. I finally started seeing clocks over 800mhz on the gpu after the latest AMD driver update but on at least the Witcher 3 on low settings FSR 2 on performance, 720p im barely getting 20fps. Im at a loss as to what to do. Ive tried everything. The witcher is the main game im playing on it right now
check if fans are working, what temps are you getting? this low frequency on GPU either indicates there's no power juice to feed it or its thermal throttling or being limited by some third-party tool that's controlling clocks also for double checking, try setting the turbo power plan in Armory Crate to see if it changes something, unfortunately, I can't do much remotely but please write in here so we may find a solution
@@TECHOSAUR I appreciate the speedy reply, the fans are maxed out on my 18w manual mode and according to the Command Center monitor its running between 90-95°. On most videos ive seen people are running in the 60s or lower. Bot sure if that's accurate though
@@mr_invisible1198 that's really high temp, and especially that u are running it on 18w, it should be around 40c with max fan speed, usually it runs too cool with it's dual fans cooling system! Wow, that's kind of weird! Maybe don't disable the global C state. Avoid that change if it's causing higher temperatures. The rest shouldn't cause any rise in temperature

Just to update you, I’ve already gone ahead and tried it on the ally. It gave me a very subtle change, still a positive one, but for those modern CPUs, those vulnerability protection processes won’t impact much performance. It was mainly a nightmare for old CPUs like those from 2018, so it’s kind of outdated and mostly pertains to Intel CPUs. Still, a video about it is WIP to share how I disabled them if you are interested, as well as some benchmarks. Thanks for your suggestion 🙂
If u check the two check boxes at the bottom saying to start minimized and auto start monitoring The second option is "launch with user login" it should open and start working by itself But u need to place the tool folder somewhere where u don't delete it, since it's not installed
Once I have booted the pen drive, and access the "new" bios, the controls do not work. I can't move around the panel and select the cpu common options settings. Any solution? I have tried connecting an external keyboard through type C and nothing and the buttons on the rog ally don't work either

@@TECHOSAUR I applied MSI and lslc, two apps from your link and gaming mode on. If you don't mind I would like to forward your channel to Chinese handheld community, since no one in my country did it that far.
@yutongduan1934 Sure, bro. This channel is ours all. Thanks for spreading the word! 🫶 I believe that latency could be the reason. When you did the MSI process, it allowed the GPU to get priority, which will render in lower latency, therefore improving its performance. Also, when you free up more paged system memory, you are able to allocate more memory where it counts, given the relatively small memory size of 16 GB when you already have a GPU in need of dedicated memory. Then, Windows takes about 4 GB. The CPU isn't remaining with lots of memory to do its tasks.
There is only a proprietary egpu for the rog ally and they’re well over $1000 you might be able to find a used one online for $800 or so but good luck with that. And other egpu’s are not compatible. It’s stupid I know
