HIGHLY recommend these over the cheap ones that leak water into the lenses.
Complete step-by-step guide to replacing the tail light housing and light bulbs on your 2009 thru 2014 Ford F-150.
Excellent tutorial with little yak yak about stuff that doesn’t matter. You are an excellent teacher. I had no problems replacing my taillight assemblies following this tutorial. Thank you.
Thanks - very clear and detailed instructions including bulb types. Nice job. I'm a professional corporate trainer / instructional designer and appreciate effective transfer of knowledge like this.
THANK YOU for mentioning the socket size! It's such a simple thing, but so few youtubers will bother. It saved me taking my set out to the truck and fumbling around. The icing on top was mentioning the bulb types.
Thanks man! Gotta do one tomorrow. Much appreciated!!
In case anyone is interested, my left blinker began cycling faster than normal; Ford dealer said one of my bulbs was likely burned out or loose. Sure enough, my lower left bulb (dual filament) had one filament burned out. This video was my tutorial on how to replace it. I replaced all bulbs since it was so easy. I also replaced my backup bulbs with LED which doubled the brightness.
Good video explanation except one item. When replacing any bulb you should use a clean cloth or tissue to place the bulbs in the sockets. Oil and grease from your body will cut the bulb life.
Short and sweet. Excellent video
Thanks for the info. Parts called out worked perfectly on my 2014 f150 sport.
My only tip, when i did my driver's side, i had to remove where the bulb plugs in from the wiring. It wouldn't fit otherwise. After doing that it took me, a not at all handy person, 5 minutes to change it out! Surprisingly simple.
Thanks simple and straight forward
thanks man easier than I thought.
Cool instructional video...my taillight went out so this helps a lot thanks
Glad to see that blacked out crap getting replaced with stock.
thanks, helpful and good job using a go-pro (head camera) so you have both hands to actually do the work. I can tell a big difference in this video
Super easy once you've seen it done. :) thx!
Thanks very good video! Straight to the point.
Nice job brother somebody broke my back light at Walmart your video helped a lot
Ever notice how all the screwed up stuff happens at Walmart???
Yeah somebody broke mine at Walmart too.....
That someone was me, I'm a dumbass
Good, thanks.
Took me less than 5 minutes, thanks !!
thanks man, helped me get through it real quick! got a new sub as well
thank you - fastest fix ever
Thanks 👍
Simple enough. Mine is a 2011 and this is something I've never had to do since this truck was new, and it's now 2023. I have gotten my monies worth out of those two bulbs, I'd say...😅
Thank you great video. quick and clear.
Made me a little sea sick, lol, but thanks that's a very helpful video!
Thanks man!
Thank you for posting this
Thank you! Awesome. Keep up the great work!
you're the real mvp
Thankyou
Thank you so much
Dude.. thanks
So my new one doesn't click when we push it in. We don't want to break it but we pushed pretty damn hard and just ligned up the bolts and bolted it in. There's a gap, is that ok?
Anyone having a problem with these leaking/holding water? I am on my second one that has done that. I was told by ebay seller to take taped area (vent holes) off this time to allow condensation out...I see in the video it has not been done, so doubt I will do that.
My 2013 has 4 bulbs.... anyone got any ideas on why? The replacement tailight I ordered looks like the one in the video with only 3 bulbs.
👍
5/16. And mine is a whole lot harder to get off.
